This is Throlb, God of Cyclopes.
Throlb was a strong young boy, able to lift 100 lbs. at the age of 10. His family was poor, and his parents resorted to thievery to keep their lives afloat. When they were caught one night stealing an encrusted hat, Throlb thought his life would crumble. At the age of 12, he had almost lost his will to live, when someone approached him. Throlb was told that his life would again have meaning, and his problems would be resolved, if he accepted a certain task. Throlb knew he had nothing left to lose, so he accepted. He was told to defeat a great beast, a giant serpent. He was given a lance, and sent to an ancient battleground. After the beast was smitten, which wasn't too long due to his combination of intellect and strength. After the test, he was granted training to be a God. His knowledge increased until a third eye grew from his forehead. His strength was tested until large muscles bulged from his arms and legs. He was said to have molded molten rock together with his bare hands to create a large figure, then transferring some essence of life from his third eye, giving them the one. Thus, the Cyclops were created.
