Amazing model and textures!
I've been looking for something like this for quite some time.

However, I have made a few changes that I think you could implement into your texture pack to make the pack feel closer to the original game.

All of these changes I made were made to make your models and textures feel a little more like the original game.
... Also, rotating the books in the hand let us get to see the amazing artwork you have on the book covers :)

1. First Person Model Changes (made to all *book.json files)

Really do love the texture pack! I appreciate the hard work
I can see me using this for the foreseeable future!
