Project FlatGlass Minecraft Texture Pack

Project Flatglass is a simple resource pack which makes all glass, and stained glass blocks, and panes, a flat colour. Which, in my opinion, looks much more modern than the default Minecraft textures, and helps to make your builds look just that little bit cooler.

You can also combine this with other resource packs.

Minecraft Java does not support normal glass, thus only stained glass is textured. Bedrock is better so it's fine over there.


How to install

Java

In Minecraft, open the Options menu, open the Resource Packs menu, and click "Open Pack Folder"
Drag in the .zip into the opened folder, and then restart Minecraft. You should see it in the resource packs area.

Bedrock

Just double-click the .mcpack, it'll automatically load into Minecraft. Not sure about other devices.

I just downloaded this pack and thought it was great but then i realized that you had not done what you did to colored glass to normal glass. will you change that anytime soon?

I would, but java seems to not support semi-transparent blocks for normal glass. sorry!

hey man, can you also make texture for the normal glass? (because i was searching a texture pack that could make a transparent glass, but for what i see this one only work for the stained glass) (sorry for my english, im from mexico)

Thats a great idea! I havent been on planet minecraft for a few months (more specifically 10 months) But i am currently making this change! Expect an update in around 30 mins

Would love to use this, but it's not showing up when I log into game and go to options/resource packs. Using version 1.12 and Optifine.

hey i got this to test how cool it was because of the game on realms pallette slam and i thought the resource pack was beutiful but it wouldnt work so i got on to planet minecraft and found this and i thought it was beutiful just like the game and so i got it tested it and it wsas super beutiful and so i wanted to keep it so i got rid of my other resource packs exept for this and when i got back onto minecraft it wasnt on and i checked my resource packs and it was there in the file but not on the game selection and so i deleted it and downloaded it again but it still wouldnt work can you tell me if there is somthing i need to do in order for this to work?

thats okay, <3. but i have windows and i did what it said i even extracted the files and put them all into the resource packs section. and it doesnt work. the confusing part is that i had it once and i deleted it, but i wanted to make sure it was working, and when i redownloaded it it was not showing the pack in the resource selection in the game.

Hi, nice project you got here. I have two suggestions that I think might make this more user friendly.

Firstly, you should remove the unchanged vanilla textures from your pack, so it can be used with other texture packs without issues.

Secondly, and this probably won't affect most users, maybe reduce the size of your textures to 1x1. It's all the same color anyway, so no visual loss and slight memory gain.
