You're using an editor that doesn't support transparency. You need to try Paint.NET or GIMP. You can't make a texture pack without an editor that supports transparency.

The textures you have edited (and as far as I can see, there is only one) don't have much shading or detail, and don't look very good as a result. Try adding some proper shading and depth, with some better color choices.
