My controversial unfinished texture pack is back!


I know a lot of people were looking forward to me finishing this, then Hadowkai (Moderator) came along and deleted it. I sent him a fairly polite pm asking why he deleted it, but months went by and no reply. You can't be put off writing a short message for months so he must have just ignored me. Being ignored I have arrived at the conclusion that he can't state what made him delete it and he may have just done it for 'fun'. So I am just going to re-upload it and keep going as I was.
However, I was thinking why continue making a pack if I may not get the opportunity to post it? So all this time I have not been continuing with it. :(


This pack is a work in progress. It supports Too Many Items and sort of the Aether (I have not edited a lot of it).
I hope this is still as popular as it was when it was out before. Before it was getting a nice chuck of views and a few downloads a day and I want to thank everyone for those downloads/views/subs/diamonds. A lot of people had supported me in making this, some of you gave constructive criticism, others just a heap of moral support. And I hope you are all still around!

Additional Details

There are no pictures but I will get them up ASAP! For now I have just posted the items.png


Also, a few things are a bit glitchy, so please bare with me! :D

Added a few bits and bops.
Put the items.png up as the picture, will probably get an in game image when I have edited the terrain more.
New thumbnail in game, will probably make another.

My texture pack GreekCraft was deleted by a moderator as well... i made many adjustments and then put it up again. it was quite annoying when it got deleted though.

For all you haters out there you have no proof of telling if he/she did/didn't steal the faithful or any other texture pack so don't go around wasting your time posting comments that don't have proof to back them up. I'm on your side, bumlick.

You realise that there is already the faithful 32 x 32, defined 64x, and a bump mapping 128 version of default out there right?

Yes, but there are differences between them. I cannot list them as I don't use the Faithful pack, but there is no way they are exactly the same.

Well, this one is missing an enchantment table, the planks have small specks in, not sure why, and most of the items have been badly draw, like.. out of the lines, I can't tell any other differences in game, it just looks like the 16 x default, doesn't look HD in the slightest.

Update: On closer inspection you seem to have stolen textures from the 32x Faithful pack, which is one reason among many that this 'texture pack' got removed before.

Open both the items for this pack and the faithful pack in photoshop, use free transform to scale and drag this items pack over faitfuls. Exactly.

You can hardly call this HD, all you have done is resized the original terrain.png, pretty badly I might add; being as the background has now blacked out I assume you edited this in paint (such a pro). Besides, enlarging a 16x texture pack to a 32x texture pack is NOT going to improve the graphics (not in the slightest). You could resize a 128x pack to 64x for example, but enlarging a texture that is smaller than the result will NOT change ANYTHING, eg. Change default terrain size to 128x, You have made the texture file 8 times bigger, which just means that any of the detail in the 16x texture pack is 8x bigger, however, since minecraft resizes all of the textures to fit the blocks (with the use of MCpatcher ofc) This will make absolutely NO graphical change to the textures AT ALL, except in your case where you have buggered up the background of the terrain file.

Ok, I was wrong, you have tried it. But I did say in the description some of it is glitchy, read the description  first please. And for your information I use Paint.NET, don't ask me why the black back round appears but it doesn't in game.

Adding to that in your first post you complained about me not even changing anything, yes I'm changing a lot. I'm re-rendering and making small tweaks to everything.

well i have a crappy computer and i was wondering if you could make one that looks dark and wicked but also runs on my computer.... it would be awesome if you could make it 32x32..... idk i guess just some thing evil like gothic or castle-ish... thanks man

How much do you want changed? Do just want it all darkened? Or do you want me to edit just the terrain, or just the items? Or Edit everything thoroughly? I need to know how much you want edited.

well maybe darken it and make the tools look like they are medieval or something.... the blocks i use the most are stone brick, cobble, plank, dark log, signs (they would look awesome if you added some outline to them, like a picture frame?), and fence post. those are the only ones that im really worried about... if you wanna do all the blocks thats great, but if not thats cool too... :D
