A completely original Kingdom Hearts resource pack made by: theOlympians.
All the textures are made from scratch by me. No sound or music was added due to Square Enix policies, but overall, I did make textures for keyblades and other things from the original game series Kingdom Hearts. All content will be updated in the new segmented form now. Keyblades, Magic, World and Items, and Enemies packs will all be considered separate entities in my update process.

The pack as a whole is not available for a single download anymore because I can't pack all the files into a single organized bundle.. This keeps my planning and updating process organized, and makes it easier on anyone who downloads to choose whether they want certain features or not.

Additional Notes

This magic pack includes: all of the magic textures from the original full pack.

Split pack up to accommodate new 1.7 features. The pack is now segmented into multiple pieces that you can toggle on and off, allowing you to switch between multiple sets of keyblades, magic, world, and enemy textures. This also lets you still have keyblades or magic even when using a different pack's item or block textures and vice versa.

The keyblades packs 1 through 4 can be found in one of my new uploads, and same with the World and item pack.. Enemy packs will come out soon along with more keyblades, world and item textures, and magic!

I am now officially saying that my Kingdom Hearts Resource pack is 95% completed!

This is actually sort of a motivator for myself: It's not actually 95% done, it's more like 70%, but the high percentage completed (even if it is fake) stands as a motivator for me to get a whole bunch of stuff done, and finally finish the pack in one last update!!! For this last upcoming update, I will add approximately 7 more re-done block textures, the last keyblade to take the iron hoe texture slot, finalize and re-vamp magic and ability systems and descriptions, and re-texture some more graphics at least. (remember, this is the least I'd do for the last update, and by last update, I mean last update until Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out, so I'd still consider this 95% done because I plan to incorporate KH3 stuff into it too.)

Starseeker now takes the place of thunder magic, which I really couldn't find anything else good for... (thunder will become torches) I added the Starseeker into the fishing rod slot, so it can grapple and pull on enemies as if it were "seeking them out".

For the last 5% of the pack, I will be adding the last keyblade, (to take the silver hoe spot) editing a bunch of block textures slightly and or drastically, (taking suggestions for that too) and finishing up all magic, abilities, and other miscellaneous that would translate well into minecraft.

Added the Starseeker for my 1000th download special! It takes the place of thunder magic since thunder didn't actually make much sense with the black cord running from the bolt and everything... I will see if I can find something else for thunder magic, but for now, it's out of the pack. It makes sense to have the Starseeker take it's place because it can pull mobs closer to you and stuns them a little too, as if the key was "seeking" them out.

Added vambraces to the Keyblade Wielder's armor (silver set), and rings of light around the arms for Master's Armor (diamond set). Now, in third person, you'll look better protected, and not have your arms hanging loose as an easy target!

GUI edited (along with another ability icon) to resemble the original Kingdom Hearts Menu Interface. (inventory and horse inventory done, possibly in-game menu later.)

All splash potions have been edited, and are now magic. (Tweaked so that wisdom form ability makes sense)

Way to the dawn is now switched with sweetstack. It now gains +4 attack dmg and sweetstack takes the stone hoe slot.

Minecraft themed Keyblade's structure for the key teeth has been edited and looks better than it did for it's first prototype. (Pixel's Might)

Altered potion graphics a little to represent forms better. (i'll try to change colors individually later)

Also, I believe Valor Form and Tiers 2 and 3 of Final Form can only be achieved by custom potions mods or by pyramid power buffs. Sorry for the inconvenience! Still keeping the possibility of a drive form mod in mind!

Turned some old minecraft abilities (from potions) into drive forms

Haste-Valor Form (slightly different then KH valor form. This one gives sped up attack speed for overall physical advantage in combat)

Instant damage potion-Wisdom Form (must have it in splash version in order for this form to work) Wisdom Form transitions quite nicely into minecraft. In KH2, sora is able to shoot rapid fire magic bullets, and in minecraft, you can shoot rapid fire magic bullets too. (i'll try to edit the texture for this potion later, but it'll be hard since all potions have the same overlay...)

Strength + Jump Boost + Resistance = Full Final Form
~Final Form divided into 3 different tiers, or ability segments. All three combined completes full final form. Since final form is said to be the strongest, i gave it the strength buff instead of giving it to valor form. (haste for attacks sort of evens it out anyway.) Also, I knew that both valor form and final form have jump buffs, but i chose to give it to final form, (again because it's strongest) and, i gave resistance to final form as well because it makes sense to have good magical defense in a form that really is the strongest in both magic and attacks. Strong attacks plus magic jump boost plus magic defense equals Full Final Form. It's a worthy minecraft transition for the Form.

I also changed the ability icons for these power ups accordingly. (except for wisdom form because it's not a self buff, only a magic attack ability that doesn't affect you at all.)

My personal Keyblade was deleted for personal privacy purposes. The new public form of the resource pack has my key replaced by Wayward Wind, and the old wayward wind slot is taken by Rainfell. The iron hoe is not a keyblade anymore.

needs some sophistication, but it's nice to see someone try to make an up-to-date pack. Kudos to you! Though I'm a bit put-off by having every tool/item seem to be a keyblade xD

Maybe it's the new minecraft patches.... I dunno, but something told me that adding graphics to the pack might cause a bug somehow... Maybe you need to download a non animated version, I'll post it on pmc soon.

(also im not to certain this is possible but i think some custom music would be nice
not the real kingdom hearts music since all that copyright stuff but there are some remixes and fan made tracks for kingdom hearts that would be cool)

Thank you! I will consider adding custom music, but I'll deal with that later. I'm currently focusing on my Heroes of Olympus Resource pack first, since the newest book is coming out soon! But I will reconsider this. I'll let you know if I get permission to use some custom music from some fan tracks.

The unzipping of the file can occasionally corrupt the quality of the internal components of the files. It's been an issue for other people as well, including me when I test out my own downloads. I'd try just re-downloading the pack and unzipping it again. For some reason, either with the old operating systems, or some other weird thing, the files get corrupted when zipping and unzipping. In that case, delete the corrupt file and re-download it, k? If that doesn't work, then pm me for further help.

This is a really well done texture pack. The previews and latest video reviews don't do it much justice, you kind of just have to download it and see for yourself. The retextured blocks are breathtaking. Good looking textures while still having a minecraft feel to them. The new tool and weapon skins are awesome, as well as the lava-darkness thing, which was a solid idea. My only issue, and I really hope you reconsider this, is with the torches. As you know, torches keep mobs away and are essential to keeping mobs from spawning inside your house, if you have a big house. They are functional, not just decoration, so I can't really take them down, but they look super weird just sprinkled all over my house/railroads/other buildings. Kind of a deal breaker. I would change the torches back and maybe retexture them as candles or something, and maybe change thunder magic to one of the potions or something.

I know, I made some major updates after my brother did the spotlight video. Thanks for the positive reinforcement! And yeah, I haven't actually played with the lightning magic stuff much, and considering it does look weird, (even in the screenshots) I actually will make them retextured torches/candles. That was probably the biggest mistake on my part... Also, there's this issue with retexturing potions. If I remake the overlay (which is the only possible way to retexture any potion) then all the rest of the potions will look like thunder magic, regardless of their affect... I will improvise later, but for now, thunder magic will be just flat out banned from the pack until I think of something better. Thanks for the Review!

You could try doing something with redstone torches, or just redstone in general, and just give it more of a yellow color. You know, redstone > electricity > thunder magic.

Hey, Your Resource Pack is pretty awesome but it would be even more awesome if you add a few things such as:-
1- Make Glass & Glass Panes colorful like stained glass or something.
2- Make Endermen as Invisibles & make them wield blue swords[size=10pt](If possible)[/size]
[size=10pt]3- Make Doors that have big Keyholes[/size]
[size=10pt]4- Remodel the Ender Dragon & make him like a HUGE Darkball[/size]

These are some pretty interesting ideas! I'll definitely add the tinted glass, and the keyholes on the doors, but the invisibles may be a bit of a stretch. The endermen are relatively skinny compared to the invisible's upper torso, but I'll try my best. As for #4, I'm not too sure about making it a huge Darkball, I mean, it'd probably have to be an elongated version due to the fact that if I don't color in the full body box, it'll be invisible from some angles... I think I'll experiment with this idea, but for now, I'm gonna stick to my plans of making it a Dust Tail from 358/2. Considering how powerful it is. By the way, has anyone else tried fighting the Enderdragon with just a sword, and some enderpearls to teleport up to it while it's over the pedestal? It's pretty epic. I've also defeated it using just the speed potion and a sword. (of course I did have to use a diamond pick to mine blocks so I could destroy it's regenerating crystals, but other than that, just the enderpearls and iron sword, or speed potion and iron sword.)

personaly to previous descussions about the diamond sword i love oathkeeper and it is my best keyblade considering i beat kh 1, and 2, and even days with it i figure it should be the diamond sword, and if u arnt plzed with it i know a way to mix up annimations on ure own files. so id keep it the way it is.

There areconflicting aspects, because in descriptions in the games, it says that the Ultima Weapon is the most powerful Keyblade, and really, when you take a closer look at the story, you'll see that the X-blade isn'tgiven the titleas most powerful Keyblade, it's titled as the key that can unlock Kingdom Hearts itself. That would require power, but not exactly in the combat aspect, correct? Therefore, I gave it a slot where if you enhance it in creative, it will still have power enough to deal damage, but it will never break when used in combat. It's a sort of technical advantage as opposed to being the most powerful. Understand? I'll let you know if I can figure something else out to the point where they can both fit in, but for now, it'll stay as it is. Ideasmight be useful if you're really set on making it the most powerful combat wise. k?

Am I missing a step, I am taking the zip folder and placing it in the resource pack folder and it does not show up on minecraft, why is this?

take the Public (animated) 1.6 Kingdom Hearts Resource pack folder out of the .zip folder. I had to put the real resource pack folder inside a .zip one in order to upload the file. The easiest option is to right click the .zip, and click extract all. Hope this helps!

Also, the I've fallen behind on my schedule for the resource pack; sorry for the inconvenience, but I will hopefully have the reversed keys pack and the Darkball heartless+sounds added sometime soon! I have all zombie sounds re-done already, Darkball is ready, and I've been having a bunch of trouble mirroring the keyblades correctly... Sorry! For sounds, I will next edit the zombie pigman, spider, and maybe the villagers. I'm still trying to perfectly recreate that whooshing sound that the heartless make when they move... All I have now is white noise that sounds only slightly similar... I'm also tweaking the damage sound affects (when you hit the heartless) so that it sounds more like a keyblade hitting them. I tried lifting the pitch for the metal zombie sound for that, and it sounds okay. It may just need a little more tweaking... I'll keep you posted on my progress. PS- thinking about changing the damage sound affects for the player as well, but I kinda like the way it is now too...

I use paint.net. It's a free image editor similar to pixlr and others. It allows for transparency, and is downloadable, so you don't need to open a browser to access it. If you're on windows 8 like I am, then go to it's homepage and download it. The other paint.net download links do not support windows 8, but the homepage one does. Also, it will not appear on the start page of windows 8 because the windows framework is not .net anymore. It will however work in desktop mode and will appear on the desktop like normal. Hope you enjoy it!

I've experimented with both pixlr and paint.net, and they're both equally affective. The only downside to pixlr is that it's in-browser only (unless you get pro or something like that...)

Yep! A reversed form of the pack will be coming out same day as the sound and darkball update. I'll be sure to have those ready sometime within the next 2 days! Also, the reversed form will be a seperate pack, so people who like the keyblades positioning for this one can still have this form. I'll send you the link for it when I release it so that you don't have to hunt for it.

You're welcome! I finally found a Heartless of the same (almost) dimensions as the ghast! So I'll be making it into one of the stronger variations of the Dark Ball Heartless. It will come up soon, along with a few extra stuffs including sound... :)

I'm so happy, I got a new laptop this week, and I've been moving all my resource pack files to it, as well as my minecraft worlds, and the adventure map i've been working on. It works so well that I can play with far render distance and or all the fanciest graphics and affects!

How did you make a custom language file? I've been trying for the last few hours and I can't figure it out. I have it as a .txt but when I convert it to a .lang it doesn't work... :/ can you help me out here? Oh by the way LOVE the resource pack, it brings back so many memories ;)

I edited it with microsoft office word. It works, and allows you to save it in the .lang format anyway. (given that the file started out as one) I never tried editing the .lang file with the text program... I might try that later, but yeah. Edit it with microsoft office word, cause it allows you to keep the same formatting regardless of the fact that you edited it with word. k? Hope this helps!

With word, there'll be some notices and prompts on changing the format of the file. DO NOT ALLOW THIS! (it comes when saving) Click save, then a window will pop up, click keep file formatting (it says something like that i think...) and click yes in the last window. If this doesn't work, p-m me for help.

I probably won't because it lowers my work drive for other things like graphics and other textures. Redoing a bunch of textures just for blocks isn't really as fun as adding cool animations to the keyblades and stuff... I'm just a little wierd like that, but I'm doing more blocks now to cover more ground.

I might do all the blocks, but I'd start after I do the next update. The one that includes: The last keyblade, + special affects and graphics for all keyblades, keyblade sound affects made from scratch, other damage and mob noises, thunder magic (as torches), all magic finished and optimized in terms of graphics and translated attributes, and some other stuff. I'm thinking that I'll make the animated keyblades a different version of the pack, and just update this one with more blocks and stuff. Occasionally, the animations do get a little confusing and hard on the eyes, so probably... So, there'll be an animated version, an un-animated version, a reversed form of the pack so the key teeth face away from the player, and a KH3 version. That is, if I do split it up.

I have majority of the animations for the keyblades done, I fixed the potions and will be adding (most likely) some animations to those, I've done approximately 5 more blocks (still re-texturing more), and re-did the glass texture, and I still haven't found any heartless type for the Ghast to become... I've been a little pre-occupied as well because I'm thinking of things to add to my ancient greek resource pack, and I'm making an adventure map involving Kingdom Hearts, and 2 other fantasy based concepts and worlds. It's all a complicated process, so at most, a week, at least, august 4th, which is in 4 days.

Remember, this all depends on my schedule. For now, it's free for the next week, so it should be quick, but if something comes up, then I might have to postpone the process some more. This resource pack is 2nd priority to my adventure map, and remember, I'm only a kid. (actually more of a teen, but still...)

Also, I've decided to add animations to all the keyblades. (by this, I mean at least a nice glitter or shine of light as if reflections were glinting off of it, and at most, a bunch of cool sparks and stars coming from the keyblade.) This will slow my production process a little more, but I do already have a few done! And they look pretty "spiffy" if I do say so myself. Hope you guys like it!
