Ave Romecrafters!

Romecraft Vanillicus: The Romecraft texture pack with a classic feeling!

Romecraft Vanillicus was originally built from my first resource pack, Romecraft: Britannia for 1.12.2. After much delay, me and my co-developer Father_Samuel have finally gotten this pack remastered for 1.14.4! Vanillicus, much like our earlier packs, was designed with the classic feeling of the base game in mind. More particularly, the feeling that the earliest renditions of Stugaces Romecraft gave. Ancient in theme, yet still stays true to the style of the original game. While Britannia was made specially for a server, Vanillicus has been remastered to be suited specially for vanilla/survival play. Much of our work is inspired by Stugaces original Romecraft textures, except now with our very own artistic twist!

We hope this pack will be a proper heir to the legacy of the Romecraft resource pack. Roma Victor!

We also recommend checking out these other Romecraft packs:
The Romecraft Collection

FEATURES
- Almost all blocks Roman/ancient themed

- Authentic environmental/terrain textures to fit the theme

- Roman shield patterns and banners

- Antiquity tools, weapons, items and armor

- Massive amount of CIT armor textures (made possible with item lore tags). Including dozens of Roman armor variations, Greek, Celtic, and Germanic armor textures (with many more cultures to come!)

- Proper ancient-themed mobs, hostile and passive

- Textures suited for every dimension

- Much, much more!

FAQ
Will you make a 32x version of this pack, like the current version of Stugaces Romecraft pack?

Possibly, but not likely honestly. It would be something that would appear in a far, far, far future update.

Personally we don't care for 32x textures all that much either, and I don't really agree with Stugaces choice to move to the 32x style, so it's not really a priority. If somebody wants to they're free to do so though if they let us know first.

Can I use textures/assets from this pack in my own?

As we've been granted special permission from other texturers to use/modify their work for this pack, I ask that you please PM me first about specifically what textures you wish to use so I can tell you what you are and aren't allowed to use.

We're pretty easy-going about letting people modify/borrow our original stuff as long as we're credited properly though.

Will you port this back to earlier versions of the game?

No, but you can use Romecraft: Britannia for 1.12.2, which should still work on some versions prior to it.

Can I use/modify this pack for my server?

Please ask for permission directly from me if you would like to do this.

INSTALLATION
Unzip the .zip file into a regular folder in your /resourcepacks folder in your MC game files. A lot of stuff breaks if you don't unzip the pack!

YOU MUST HAVE OPTIFINE TO RUN THIS PACK! MANY THINGS WILL BE WEIRD/BROKEN IF YOU DO NOT USE OPTIFINE WITH IT!

Your texturepack is just great

I would create a mod and ask if I could use a pair of your textures :)

The mod becomes one for a Roman culture in the Mod Millenaire

If any of you would like to work on this culture, I would be happy for an answer

I am using this texturepack since a long time now and it ist really awesome, but will there ever be an updated version of this? Cause there are many blocks now without a texture and the old blocks could need an update. I know there are different types of romecraft texturepack, but I think this one is the best one so far.

Unfortunately probably not for the foreseeable future. See the reason from the comment below:

"This edition of 16x Romecraft probably will not get a proper update for a very long time since other projects have taken priority over this one for the Romecraft developers. However we'll be releasing a derivative of this pack called Romecraft Italia which will be a little bit more updated then this version, though it probably won't include much in the way of 1.16 content and won't be survival friendly since its built specifically for a server."

quick question, once i register for antiqua italia would i be able to change my username? also for one of the polls two questions say "Become a Triarii or Eques" and "Become a rich Equestrian", but an Eques is a member of the Equestrian Order and I don't understand what the difference between the two questions are.

Hi planetminecraftbrowser, I am afraid this isn't really the best place to ask about Antiqua Italia. Don't worry though! You can get in touch with us through PM here on PMC or ideally get in contact with us on our website at https://www.romecraft.org/

Is this confirmed for 1.16? It's been awhile since this pack received some love so it's great to have it back.
