Instead of the timeout message, I think it'd be useful if banned users could get a message telling them they are banned, the person who banned them, and the reason for the ban, as well as the ability to check their chat and infraction history while banned.
Generally when people are banned they know why, this is mostly or bans that happen when you're not online or if you need to know how long the ban has less, or who issued it.
I wouldn't know because I'm not banned from the chat, but this is a very good idea!
