Hello Planet Minecraft!

I am here today to talk about the Minecraft EULA.

I know this topic has been covered before, but I am going to tell everyone my point of view.

I think that this new rule in Minecraft's EULA is ruining the Minecraft community.

I understand where they are coming from but servers are closing down due to this new rule because the owners cannot pay the server bills anymore.

A lot of people used Minecraft to make their money. It isn't just ruining the community it is also ruining some peoples' lives because it may be the only money they recieve.

No you can't even start a server without agreeing to the new EULA. This is insane! Proof

Please sign this petition if you agree with me. They only need 2,000 more signatures!

I would like to thank everyone for reading, and if you do not agree with me, keep all of your rude comments to yourself.

This is just an opinion and you may not agree with it and you do not have to. Thank you for being kind.

I highly disagree with your points.

The server owners should be able to pay the bills off anyway, it's their fault. They shouldn't start a server and just rely on donations.

A lot of people used Minecraft to make
their money. It isn't just ruining the community it is also ruining some
peoples' lives because it may be the only money they recieve.

Again, server owners shouldn't start a server (that will require payment) if they cannot pay for it. It's not right to make money off of a game that someone else created; that's basically reselling product, which is illegal (correct me if I'm wrong, but im pretty sure thats how it is).
Before getting a server that requires you to pay for it, get a JOB. If you're not old enough, you may not be old enough to own a server. I understand that many 12-year-olds may be very mature, but a server is going to require a lot of time put into it. If the server goes down, you're the one who has to deal with it. You cannot rely on other people to fix something you chose to take on the responsibility of keeping. You'll need to be smart enough to hire mature staff who aren't power-hungry kids. I'm not saying they have to be at least 21, but make sure they act mature around other people. You may need to know coding languages for a server. You need to able to put in HOURS of work (into plugins, unless your server uses vanilla) before the server is actually up and running for the community.

Of course you can't. If you have read the EULA, you will know that by buying/installing/running Minecraft, you are agreeing to the EULA. If you do not agree, you are not allowed (by law) to use Minecraft. You don't pay to own Minecraft, you pay for permission to use it. Mojang is giving you permission to use it and you must agree to their rules.

You aren't making it clear why you want us to sign the petition.

Just so you know, I am not trying to be rude, I'm telling you that your reasons for this are incorrect. Please do not post something without further knowledge about it.

I understand I do not have to agree with you, but I do not because like I said, you haven't made convincing points. The EULA is a law and you must follow it. It is only to get rid of servers that are pay-to-win; those servers aren't fair to the community. You wouldn't like to log on to a factions server and be spawnkilled fifty times, would you? No, you wouldn't. You can still donate to a server. The reward for donation is either nothing (pure donation), an advantage to ALL players who are playing/log onto the server, or something for you and only you that DOES NOT give you an advantage, cosmetic things, such as a coloured name in chat, /hat, a pet (that doesn't give you powers or anything, just follows you around), and such. Most donator perks on servers like Mineplex are a great example.

Thank you for reading,

Carly~
