Hi there guys and girls! I did a thing and wrote some words, and I hope you all like them as they consecutively follow one another to make sentences that eventually make paragraphs.
The story is about Sylvia Rose McKinner, and how lucky she is. Or well, the facade of luck she has. Considering she doesn't want to tell people she's a normal girl that happens to have super powers. I dunno... Enjoy.
“We were victims of the night~... the chemical, physical, kryptonite!” sweet vocals sang out as a warm orange shadow danced across the ground.
Summer was among typically cold New York City, and amidst the many parkgoers was a girl. Her name is Sylvia Rose McKinner, and a few of you may remember her. She’s the girl who can burst into flames. A super heroine, to be exact. She may not look like much, but she’s capable of things beyond the human capacity.
Pointing dramatically at a tree, the girl continued to sing as sirens blared down the street. The high pitched scrill of the sirens pierced through her ear buds, making her music a low drone in comparison. Plucking one of the small things from her ear, she looked after the police cars, a firetruck following after.
This only meant one thing: a house or building was on fire, and someone needed help!
Running to the edge of the park, she snagged her bike from it’s chained spot and took off down the sidewalk after an ambulance heading in the same direction. Her dyed red hair was billowing behind of her as she pedaled faster and faster. She turned a sharp corner, and then another, skirting into an alleyway to stash her bike and normal clothes behind a dumpster. Beneath her everyday wear was a simple spandex leotard that was flame resistant.
Wading into the crowd, she slipped on her tuxedo mask and dashed into the burning building. Many onlookers cried out in joy as Sylvia came into view. Her bright flames not harming anyone, but protecting herself. She nodded to those that she passed by, and even did a little barrel roll into the building. A few firemen were already inside, doing their best to get any survivors out.
Sylvia evaded them and went deeper, checking any rooms that may have been cut off by a fallen beam or a too hot to touch door handle. She found two kids and a kitten trapped in a bathroom, smoke clouding the room. They were breathing through their shirts, the kitten gasping for breath. Sylvia reassured the children that everything was going to be alright, and grabbed both of the kids. They were no older than seven. Luckily Sylvia’s new found super strength gave her the ability to carry the two kids, and a cat, with little to no effort. Dashing out of the building, she took one more chance to sweep the rooms, and helped the firemen out as well.
Before she could run off, the kids she saved looked up at her, and with tears in their eyes asked a simple question.
“How did you do it?”
Thinking it over, Sylvia gave a short answer.
“It must be luck,” smiling, she fled from the scene, making mental note of the street she left her bike on so she could come back later when the crowd was thinned.
