Jake was concerned about his mother and he was determined to find her. She definitely wasn't in the house and she had gone missing, lucky for Jake, he didn't have any brothers or sisters so he didn't have to look after them and he could go out by himself for as long as he wanted to find his mother. He was going further into the bushes and the car engines were getting louder. That was a problem for Jake, as if his mother was near in the trees, he wouldn't hear her speak. He was searching everywhere, thinking where she might be but there was no sign.
As he was walking along, jumping over the branches that lay just above the ground, he heard a little voice ''Jake?, Jake is that you?''. He just made out the words and immediately replied, ''Mum?'', ''Help me Jake, quick!''. He was just about to speak when he heard something like 'ssssssss' ...
