One of the last art projects for the school year at my school is called the Masterpiece Project, where you make something that's connected to you or a part of you and means something to you. For my Masterpiece, I decided to make something music-related, since that's a big part of my identity. (I love music, I listen to it all the time, and it calms me down whenever I'm stressed or worried or something like that.) Then, I got the idea to make the Metallica logo with the Load/Reload symbol (the interlocking Ms). However, I had limited amount of classes and the symbol was proving to be a bit tricky. With limited time left before the due date,* I had to change what I was going to do to the fill the space, so I decided to the Death Magnetic logo Metallica used in 2008 (Death Magnetic is my favorite Metallica album) as well as the album name and the tracklist for the album. Once that was all finished, I went over the pencil with a Black sharpie, erased the pencil lines, and colored in everything except the coffin with a silver marker. With the project completed, I showed it to the teacher and scanned the art piece with a computer camera to upload it to my Google Drive folder with all my art projects from the year like everyone else did with their projects. (This project was completed last week, on Monday, May 1st, 2023.)

*The due date is at the end of May, I started this project in mid-April, and we only have Visual Arts twice a week, and at the start of each class, the teacher spends about 20 of our 50 minutes together talking.
