Hey guys! I wanna help some people out there with a Fatal error occured (4) error when they try to update minecraft. So first off. Disable your antivirus and try to update. For me, that was the cause. If this is what's wrong for you, either delete your antivirus and get a new one, E.G. Microsoft Security Essentials. If you already paid for the AV, google on how to add minecraft to your AV's Firewall.

The second problem could be java. I'm guessing that you're on java 1.7_5. So if minecraft can't update, downgrade your java to 1.6.
