This is a Halloween drawing I made. I also have a spooky story:
I woke up, a vine was curled around my wrist. I realized it came from the book right as it dragged me in. I landed in a mossy forest that was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop even though the moss would have muffled most of the sound. What happened? I thought. I looked around, I blinked. In the second I looked away the trees had tripled in size. Now instead of the trees I could have wrapped my arms around, it would have taken three or four people to. For some reason I didn’t find anything particularly strange anymore. I felt somewhat bemused. I decided to explore a little.
I wandered through the forest for around an hour. It felt like nothing had changed in the time I was walking. For all I knew I was just walking in circles. Finally I saw a place I hadn’t seen before. A clump of pine trees. I entered the gloom of the pines. When I came out of the trees I was on a one foot ledge with drops on both sides. Across from me was a tower. I had two options, I could go towards the tower or I could go back. When I looked behind me, the pine forest was glowing with a dim red light. I decided to keep going. I walked carefully along the ledge. I knocked on the door. No one answered. I tried opening it and it was unlocked. I walked in. Sitting on the floor playing with doll heads was a little toddler, perhaps two years old. There was no sign of anyone nearby to watch it. In fact all around the toddler and its doll heads was dust. I walked over and picked it up. I climbed the stairs to the second floor. It was empty except for a mirror in the middle of the room. I looked in the mirror, the child still in my arms. Suddenly I screamed and turned around. Behind me was something that must have been a zombie. I ran. It was the only thing that had truly scared me in that strange world. The child in my arms, I climbed to the third floor. I ran down a long hallway. I found this strange because I was in a tower but didn’t really think anything of it. Suddenly, I tripped, the child flew backwards into one of the zombies arms. The child started looking like a zombie and the zombie started looking more human with pointy teeth. I didn’t stop to puzzle over this, I just kept running. A bat flew over my head, surprising me. The ground crumbled around me, leaving me standing on a stone pillar with a bat in front of me. The bat seemed to fade out. Suddenly, a vampire appeared in place of the bat. It bit me. I felt my teeth sharpening as the blood drained from my body. The vampire started looking less and less like one. It grew ears and a tail. I flew off as a bat in search of humans to bite. The vampire, now a werewolf, followed me on the ground. We found a village. On the edge of the forest three children were playing. I darted in and bit one, so quickly they didn’t even notice me until it was too late. The werewolf refrained from biting anyone. It seemed to enjoy being a werewolf. The other two children ran away as I changed into a werewolf. I smiled at the other werewolf. He smiled back and said, “Nice job, my dear.”
