This is my first blog, so please no negative comments!
Have you ever wondered how youtubers such as SkyDoesMinecraft have those awesome thumbnails for their videos?
Well, I can teach you how to easily make your own!
All it requires is a few websites and steps:
IN DEPTH DETAIL FOR MAKING THIS.
Don't quite get it? I'll explain.
If you are having trouble starting out, I will help you get through this. First, you go to novaskin or any other minecraft skin animator, and you set up your skin the way you want it. Once thats out of the way, you save it. (Keep in mind that no background is saved WITH the character, it will ruin the thumbnail.)
Next, you go to google or just find an image of MineCraft or whatever you want the title to be, hence I recommend TextCraft. It makes it SUPER easy to create logos in minecraft fonts, all you have to do is choose which you like and write your message. Save that too.
Now you have to put it all together, I will give you the tutorial on how to do it on Pixlr. Go to www.pixlr.com, and click on pixlr editor. You can start with a new image or choose your own image. This WILL be the background image. Once you have the background set up, you will see tools on the top. Click on layers, and scroll down to add image as layer. Choose each one of your images at a time. Notice, as you add images, they will appear on the right to the bottom. You have to click on the one you want to move around, otherwise the selected one will move. Once you have all of them set in place and it looks good, go to file and save the image. Now, head on to YouTube, and upload whatever video is related to it. On the bottom, it asks you to choose a thumbnail, but it also asks if you would like to upload a custom one. Click on that, go to your newly made picture, and there you go! The perfect thumbnail :)

Have you ever wondered how youtubers such as SkyDoesMinecraft have those awesome thumbnails for their videos?
Well, I can teach you how to easily make your own!
All it requires is a few websites and steps:
- First off, you need your skin in the picture! There is an excellent skin editor where you can edit your pose, and choose how you look! (Example, a thumbnail where your character is running). If you don't want your character moving, there are other websites that just give you a picture of your skin! Also, if you want to be advanced, you can go to the harder stuff on photoshop, which requires more skill.
WEBSITE LINK: minecraft.novaskin.me
- No thumbnail is complete without a proper title! www.textcraft.net is a PERFECT tool for logos! It has many fonts and styles to choose from! If that doesn't suit you, there is a variety of logo makers that could do the trick. Or you could simply go with a transparent minecraft logo. (IT MUST BE TRANSPARENT)
- You need a picture editor to do this all! There are many GREAT picture editors, such as www.pixlr.com, or the Adobe photoshop at www.adobe.com, or maybe even a simple picture editor from a google search! There is a wide range to choose from!
NOTE: IF YOU ARE SLIGHTY ADVANCED, YOU CAN USE PROGRAMS SUCH AS PHOTOSHOP.
- On the picture editor, you should be able to add all of this together to make the PERFECT thumbnail for your video! If you don't know how, all you do is start out with a new image, and you add an images as layers (if you are using Pixlr), then just sort them all around!
