Add Machines! Add Magic! Add more mobs! Make another dimension! Add World Edit to Minecraft! Red Dragons!?!?!

These are comments I have seen posted somehow towards Mojang. The truth is 99.9% of these suggestions will never happen. Why? Because they don't fit the game. Minecraft is based around a medeval theme, such as swords, bows ect... But people still dont get, there are mod packs to do what they want in minecraft! Sure you can get machines in mods, also mods, dimensions, AND WORLD EDIT.

As for red dragons, Dinnerbone said it all for you, so stop asking them, here is his tweet: "I'm sure one day there will be. Not right now though." 

So what are things to be added to Minecraft? In my opinion, here are things that I have seen that would fit the Minecraft standard: Dynamite, a throwable explosive. Mace/Spears, a medium range weapon. Nether gold, where else do those pigmen get it?! The end turning into the overworld after you defeat the dragon. Lamb, the food this time! Horse meat (or steak). And finally, my last idea. Padlocks. Lock your chest with a comination.

A quick note on the idea of Nether Gold: Mojang originally tried to add all of the overworld ores to the Nether. The problem they kept running into was that, for some reason, the ores would always explode when mined. They only recently figured out how to fix this, adding Quartz. Seeing as 1.9 is likely to be the "Dimensional Update," they may very well be sprucing up the Nether with ores of its own, perhaps having some source of gold there.

Nether Gold, and perhaps Nether Redstone, but no such thing as Diamonds. The entire point of the Nether is that it is a place you don't want to spend too much time in.

I agree, but i do think there should be a point to going to the nether. Like for something better than diamonds?

There is: Wither Skulls. The Nether is the only place to get them, and the Wither is the only way to get the Nether star, which is the source of power for a Beacon. I'm guessing that Mojang is going to come up with some more interesting uses for a Nether star in the update to 1.9, whenever that happens.

I agree with this completely! I mean, Machine Guns? The game is not supposed to be badass, it's more of a peaceful fighting style. This was kinda built to be a game of creativity for the most part. Not a war zone (like every other game in existance LOL)

Lol. Although I must say the combat system needs an upgrade, rather that just hitting eachother with swords untill someone dies. Dinnerbone also hinted he will eventually rewrite the system, if Mojang agrees.

They shoud add a new realm, the ULTRA REALM! It Will have ALL blocks randomly place everywhere and have EVERY SINGLE MOB IN IT!!!!!!!!
