Alright, as a server owner my self,, I know how it feels.
The 12 hour nights on end, trying to beat Ubercraft or ObsidianCraft to get some users on your server.
You just have completed your spawn and have a great staff and website but you need users.
Yes I know, It's hard going to forums just to post about your server
I did 50.
Yes 50.
It is hard getting users and making sure they stay.
Sometimes you do something great but only some users stay.
My story is this to get you started on a great server and maybe, just maybe, get you users.
My story starts out in November 2011, as my new laptop can run MC. It was really great and I was on MC for hours on end.
My friend(we will call him Bob) was over and he wanted to join my newly created Biosphere Server.
I loved it. We had a shop, a spawn everything. but nothing can help.
No users joined.
So one day, I got 30 Users by posting a fake video of notch on my server.
I had it cracked.
I got 30 Users and got it hosted.
So as 2012 came, I stopped the MC server and went on to some other servers.
I played Xbox MC for a majority of it and stayed on BF3.
So in August 2012, I got a gaming pc and hosted MC Servers.
Until January 2013, it was up.
I got my users by posting on PMC and MC Forums ( Key thing here, unlike PMC, you get to bump your server as much as you want)
And posted on like a lot of websites

and more
The key thing is the atmosphere.
As long as you can make the users feel safe and happy, you are A-OK

My server wasnt up for two months and it was still in Beta.
