What's up lads, I decided to make an enchantment tier list so you all know what enchantments to pick for your items in Minecraft! (Note: these are my opinions and you can share things you agree or disagree with in the comments.)

S RANK

Mending: Mending basically allows you to heal your stuff with XP, why is this good, because you don't have to waste diamonds or netherite on repairing your stuff and it also allows you to repair max bows and crossbows, It's just the best enchantment that is ever implemented in the game!

Smite: It's great, not only does it PWN withers, but it can also PWN zombies and other undead mobs as well, it's just a really great enchantment and this may be a little biased but I have an undying hate for zombies after I lost all my netherite armor and tools over one, but the facts should outweigh the opinions.

Sharpness: It was useful before I wanted revenge over the entirety of zombiekind, it allows you to two-hit most mobs which proves useful and it also does well at stuff like dragons, spiders e.t.c. I loved this enchantment and always will!

Fortune: This thing is good! It allows you to get more ore loot which means more diamonds, redstone, e.t.c. and has proved to be really great! It's also going to be better with Raw iron, gold and copper coming into 1.17.

Looting: Let's say it's OP! It lets you get a lot of viable mob loot and I just LOVE IT! Just a really good enchantment in my opinion.

Feather falling: This thing basically saved my ass from all those times I fell into a deep ravine let's just say that!

A RANK

Unbreaking: Unbreaking is a really good enchantment, even though mending outmatches it, I still value it for the fact that I can use my tools for a longer amount of time before I need to go for a trip to the end farm to repair them, just a good enchantment in my opinion.

Protection: I use it a lot, mostly levels 3-4 but when combined with netherite/diamond armor, I can just ignore these mobs hitting me for all I care, especially with the netherite's knockback resistance.

Efficiency: It's another go to enchant because it's capable of SHREDDING blocks if you have it on rly good stuff at somewhere around lvl 4/5. It's also able to allow insta mining which... two words: Really Overpowered.

Silk touch: This helped me out a lot and i'm sure it did help out others too, it's honestly great how this enchantment can allow you to pick up normally unobtainable blocks, just really fairs out the game a lot!

Depth strider: This helped me out a lot when I use water for my builds because the water slows you down, but depth strider just lets you to not give a crap about it and just go your merry way.

B RANK

Respiration: That thing is good, make a Respiration III turtle shell and your good to go for your underwater exploration. I don't really explore underwater that much but I feel like it's relevant enough to go on B rank.

Fire protection: That thing is OP when putting Fire proc 4 on netherite armor, what i'm saying is that once you have it on, you're basically IMMUNE to lava! (Almost) The grind is what puts it on B rank.

Knockback: I don't entirely use it but it is useful when dealing with mobs, you can even just yeet mobs down a ravine and you're good! However, some mobs have a lotta knockback resistance so that's why it's not entirely useful.

Power: It increases bow damage which I cos they make bows extremely effective, however I don't use a bow myself so it wasn't really that useful to me.

Loyalty: It is a go to enchant for the trident, I don't use one myself, but I always see it being used so I guess i just gotta agree with them. However, I don't rly care about loyalty II and III cos they only increase the speed the trident returns to u.

Multishot: This turns your bow into a shotgun, it also works well with the quick charge enchantment.

C RANK

Aqua affinity: It has helped me on some occasions, however I don't really explore or mine underwater that much so it's occasionally useful.

Frost walker: Frost walker is helpful for crossing water, however the one con is that it takes a bit more time to go underwater so I'm better off using depth strider.

Channeling, I don't use a trident, however this enchant makes me WANT to use one because of the fact that during thunderstorms, you can spawn lightning anywhere, the only con with that tho is thunderstorms are rare in the game.

Impaling: It increases trident damage, but I am not a trident user so I don't really use it, it is good nontheless.

Thorns: Thorns is good for when afking to type smth in chat so at least you can get that zombie killed when you are typing in your enchanted netherite armor, it proved useful to me and I like it, though I can live without it.

Fire aspect: I lived without it so it's only practically useful, but it's almost useless in the nether so that's that.

Quick charge: I don't use a crossbow but quick charge is good. It allows for people to rain arrows on groups of mobs when combined with multishot, just a good enchant, but not that useful.

Piercing: It's also a good enchant, however I only used it for the arballistic advancement so I don't use it that much.

D RANK

Soul speed: I don't explore the soul valleys that much and the server I play on uses packed ice instead so it's safe to say that it's a useful enchant, but it's not for me tho.

Punch: It increases bow knockback, but I don't really see any use in that other than making it really hard for a melee mob to hit u, so even as someone that doesn't use a bow, I gotta say it isn't that much of a useful enchant to me.

Luck of the sea: It increases treasure drops from fishing, I don't use a fishing rod AT ALL so this didn't prove that useful to me, especially with 1.16's AFK farms.

Lure: It shortens the time needed for the bobber to sink, but I don't use a fishing rod at all so it doesn't prove useful to me, even with AFK fishing gone.

Flame: I don't use bows and I dont use flame, it's like the same as Fire aspect, but it's only one level, It doesn't prove that useful to me.

E RANK

Blast protection: It was good for using beds to find netherite, however I find TNT to be better, not only can I just ignite one and all the others blow, but you can just run away from the TNT making blast protection almost useless.

Infinity: Mending clearly outmatches it, you can check out the reason why here.

F RANK

Projectile protection: That thing's USELESS! It basically protects you from projectiles, however like 90% of all threats in the game are not projectile based which makes general protection more viable, it's honestly better off to pick protection over projectile when dealing with skeletons.

Bane of athropods: This is a joke, even though it takes care of some mobs pretty well, it's clear that Sharpness is a better choice with that as it can deal more damage to mobs that are more of an issue.

Curse of binding: It's only real use is for enchanted pumpkin pranks which involves making someone wear a COB pumpkin, that is very annoying as you need to die to get rid of the pumpkin and to be honest, idk why mojang put this in in the first place.

Curse of Vanishing: This is only good for stuff like 2B2T where if you die, then your opponent cannot get your richest of weapons, but normal survivalwise, it aint useful at all, curses are curses!

I hope you like and agree with my enchanting tier list, Have a good day y'all!

Multi shot is useless it almost never dose anything and when it dose it is in crowded of zombies that you have smight for. On the other hand smight is overrated. When you get good enough to get good enchants you won’t want smight on your best sword. And if you REALLY need to kill withers fast then get blast prot and watch them deal no damage. Impaling makes u fly in water/rain ANd it deals damage AND it’s good agenst withers so it would be much higher in my opinion. Flame and fire aspect are for players not zombies or withers. They significantly decrease the amount of screen you can see. Also again punch might not be too too helpful for mobs but it works great with players. Also can you put that soul speed+thorns decrease durability and that’s why I don’t use them. Depth strider isn’t that Op in my opinion. On the other hand quick charge and piercing would be with power and flame because they do similar things just with a different webon. KB is underrated in my opinion it makes a HUGE difference when comboing and block hitting extra. I think this was made for more of a survival players enchantment guide than multiplyplayer because they seem aimed that direction. And of course that is my personal opinion. Emerald if u agree and comment if you don’t pls.
