So, there I was sitting in my Honors Geometry class with Brother Charlie teaching (or not so much), and I began to daydream and think heavily about things that were obviously not pertinent to Geometry. And this is a rough outline of what I though of. It was about the evolution of gaming.

When I was younger (I'm in high school currently), I remember sitting down and playing my GameBoy Color. (By the way, nostalgia is going to bite you while you read this.) I think I usually played Pokemon, but I probably played some other things. And I also remember my brothers playing with their N64 and original Playstation. Super Mario Bros. was their usual game of choice. Those were the good old days.

And then I all of a sudden fast forwarded. I fast forwarded to today, November 23, 2011, and contemplated the past 10 or 11 years of what has evolved of the gaming industry. We have come to the point where its almost like real life. It's 3D, and you get the feeling of you are actually there, in the battle, getting shot at, getting chased by zombies, what have you. The graphics of now are astounding, whereas graphics in games mentioned in the prior paragraph were hideous by today's standards. The change is significant.

But where does Minecraft tie into this story? Here, I'm getting to it now, don't get your boxers (or for the glorious GGG, you're panties) in a twist. Every time I turn on my computer and boot up MC, its nostalgic. Nostalgic of a time when graphics didn't matter, there was no real point to the games, and it was just fun to play. I love the fact that Minecraft does that. It's great, that's why i continue to play it, even with haters hating.
