So, most of you would or might eventually find out, that apparantly PMC has malware. Well that is incorrect. I have created this article to try and stop some users leaving the site in fear. The ad services of this site, had been hacked, they had malware injected into their ads. Each site that used their ads, detected by Google, were blocked by a warning. Some pages on here are not detected, but some are.

Sometimes you make suddenly have a security program on your computer. It would most likely be a fake. Called A rogue. Here is a list of them:
Here is a list of confirmed rogues, in case you ever get suspicious.

Wikipedia - The Free Encyclopedia

A rogue is something that pretends to be something else. For example, An enemy spy on TF2 can disguise itself as a member on your team. Then, it could sneak up and kill you. That's basically how a rogue works.

What to do about it:

The best thing to do is to not panic. Do not worry about threats, the ads on this website are disabled as of today for an indefinite amount of time. If you use Google Chrome, or navigated through to the site using Google, you may get a warning similar to the one above this article. To bypass that, simply click advanced next to it, and click "Proceed At Your Own Risk".

In my personal opinion, I find that genuine antiviruses or malware protection seems to scare the user, so when false positives occur, they are directed away from the website with fear. So ignore it for this site only. Otherwise, if a real malware-contaminated website is blocked and you ignore the warning, your in trouble son. XD

How to be more safer and productive on the internet:
  • Install an Ad-Blocking program. I know that Google Chrome and Firefox can get a plugin/add-on called AdBlock. (Be sure to add "Fanboy's List" on that.)
  • Download a plugin called WoT (Web of Trust). Sites are rated by real users, which can make you feel more secure. When directed to a malicious site, you are given a warning.
  • Download Malware-Bytes and purchase it or try the demo for Real-time IP Blocking Protection. So the page will not load. Scanning with that program will also help you out.
  • Spybot Search And Destroy can find certain tracking cookies that are used by third parties to know your browsing history. These are annoying and can waste space on your computer. So scan for and remove them.

I hope this post has assisted you in your online experience, in or out of PlanetMinecraft.com . If you liked this, feel free to pass me a diamond. :D
