It's been about three months since our big Milestone! Time really does fly! Needless to say, between the planning, prepping, and execution of the anniversary and everything in between, it's hard to stop and reflect back when PMC is always moving forward, and that is why this summary is coming to you a little late. Not only that, there's SO MUCH to cover!
Regardless, we enjoyed looking back at this wonderful day, reliving all of the excitement and cheer brought to us by the community!
For those that don't know, on November 8th, 2020 we turned 10 YEARS old! That's an entire decade! To celebrate, we collaborated with a team of Members to bring you one BIG month-long celebration with surprises, giveaways, and an Official Event that received a total of 659 entries! We couldn't have asked for a better celebration - thank YOU to everyone. You truly made this milestone special for us.

EVENT SUBMISSIONS
ART We saw some wonderful, colorful art that makes us want to throw tons of confetti and toot the party kazoos! From party hats and balloons to cakes and turkeys, you showed us what it means to have a PARTY!

| ...did you think we were kidding when we said we even saw turkey?! Giancarlovan peppered the event banner with a bunch of perfectly cooked turkeys. But that's not all! Their submission also includes a poem about the delicious roast beast, which you can find here! You might be wondering...Why a poem about Turkeys? MAPS
Several members were inspired to go all out on some massive builds, including one by Divici! In their build (seen below) they portray PMC as an anime character. Titled "Planet-chan", the character has planets for eyes, a shirt adorned with the emerald, diamond and favorite icons, Ender the PMC Pet cat, and arm stockings that seem to represent a couple of the holiday events we've hosted!
Celebration Island by antigod is the perfect place to take a vacation and celebrate the 10-year milestone. The creator states "When I first started planning this build, I wanted something that felt very natural and organic, so I tried to incorporate nature as much as I could with the park, tree's, plants"
Robot Confectioner is a unique build by MoonError. This robot is ready to bake a cake anytime! Fantastic cakes and chocolates anywhere imagineable!

The map you see below, features the staple elements of a celebration - cake and balloons! The map also showcases many of PMC's first published builds! You can see them in some of the later screenshots featured here as well as a quick Easter egg to one of their upcoming builds which they've posted since this map. The globe also includes Cyprezz's Double Pyramid build, the first build on the site!

| SKINS The categories with the most submissions was the Player and Mob skins, with a total of 324 Player Skin Submissions and 241 Mob Skin Submissions. Somehow each skin, though each one is unique! We saw cake piggys, cake cows, confetti sheep, and crazy cool capes! There were also a party wolf, a party dolfin, party witch hats, party parrots and pretty pink presents, one of them you can see to the right! |  Lovely Present by Lelexxx | |
The PMC 10 year celebration was so big, even Villagers showed up for the occasion to entertain as clowns!! The submission states: "This villager thought he could make a quick emerald by signing up as a party clown. No-one said anything about the constant yelling, laughing, loud music and the confetti that goes everywhere." Suited up in the best clown costume with pink polka-dotted pants, a striped shirt and of course, a big red nose and white face make-up, this villager was one of our favorite submissions we saw in the event |  Party-Illager by SolarSimonDM |
There were a couple of PMC shirt skins, which could also be worn as a fun shirt to support PMC any time!

We had to include these two mob skins; the first one on the left has a couple of PMC Pets celebrating the 10th anniversary. You'll find Speck and Ender partying it up with confetti and party hats. WDGaster used the Snow Golem mob model to create a fun a lively scene with a ladder leading up to a big cake lit with colorful candles and a party hat and presents inside of its little hut!

TEXTURE PACKS
This pack replaces moon with the PMC logo ― the Planet MineCraft. It has 8 different planet positions, also you can see how it rotates on its axis and the sunshine is slowly sliding around the planet!
 | Who says a balanced diet includes all food groups? This Texture Pack by DerB23 changes every food to a cake, pie or muffin version of itself! Now, that's a balanced diet! Does a raw beef pie sound appetizing? Fear not! You can cook it! |
THE MAIN EVENT
PMC CHEST QUEST There were a total of 146 members who completed the PMC Chest Quest, all of who were rewarded with the following trophy for their trophy case:  |  A first (but not last) of its kind, CaraRose created this quest that consisted of several stages! Throughout the quest, members searched for chests with codes in them, learned cool facts about PMC, visited the 10 Year Anniversary Museum, solved some crosswords! |
PAPERCRAFT EVENT
In celebration of the 10-year anniversary, we added ACCESSORIES to the papercraft section; meaning you can dress up your papercraft as much as you want! We hosted a Papercraft Event where we wanted members to create a fun scene using these new accessories and a papercraft skin! The event was purely for fun. Participants received a special trophy in their trophy case for entering! Below are the entries we received! Some entrants included several photos of the papercraft skin, so be sure to click on the pictures for more creative cuteness!

COLORING EVENT
DinowCookie hosted a special Coloring Event as part of our 10 year anniversary! The coloring page features Paril fishing in a boat, Cyprezz holding a balloon, Mrs.PMC holding a cake, and some other fun elements that really pull the theme of Celebration together! Be sure to visit the Coloring Event Forum thread to see more colorful and unique variations!

| RAFFLE We hosted a raffle, where we gave away Clay Minecraft figures sculpted and painted by.. me. We also had an original PMC T-Shirt up for grabs, signed by Cyprezz, as well as $50 steam credit. All members had to do was share their favorite PMC Memory or what they loved the most about PMC! The responses were heartwarming. Thank you for sharing your stories! You can read them all here! SERVER
PMC MUSEUM SERVER
After 2+ months of work, countless late nights, and a few setbacks, Stubbs1 wowed us with a custom-built PMC Museum. The massive museum contains corridors for every main section of the site including Skins, Maps, Blogs, and Texture packs, and showcases popular submissions and creators in each category for every year from 2010-2020! The Museum also contains a timeline of PMC and covers everything from submission and member milestones to big updates and additions. Entering the museum, you'll find a gold globe at its center and several shops throughout including Dinow's cookies and a bakery, and a special area dedicated to the people who worked on the 10 year anniversary team. | SURVIVAL SERVER We kept this a surprise until the VERY end of the day - we opened a SURVIVAL server which is still running to this day. To the right you'll see everyone's grand entrance! We were all eager and excited to explore and mine, as you can see. The server has come a very long way since the launch. You'll find an entire marketplace at spawn, a massive town hall, several villages, and some large statues. | HYPIXEL MEET UP To pack the day with even more FUN, we recruited -Rae- deactivated and A1yssa to lead some mini-games on Hypixel! Members met at a custom-built hub, created by Rae! The meeting area contained a small pond and globe at its center, with small houses for each of the main categories of PMC (Maps, Skins, Blogs, Texture Packs). | FIREWORKS To conclude the day on November 8th, Bertiecrafter put on an epic fireworks show for everyone! Boscawinks captured the spectacular show on video! Bertiecrafter also played a big role in the planning of the Anniversary. He created several data packs we used on the server including a FUN Confetti Cannons Data Pack, a Balloons Data Pack, and animated the giant gold globe at the center of the Museum. Quite the spectacle. He submitted a Behind the Scenes of the Globe Animation and one for the Fire Works Show, too! |

| ARTICLES To pay homage to the members that defined certain eras of PMC over the last decade, with the assistance of some veteran members, we crafted some lengthy articles highlighting submissions and creators from the past. The series is called "Planet Minecraft Remembers". The first of the series Projects of the Past is currently live and features projects and creators that were pioneers in their categories! Warning: Extreme nostalgia. We are still in the process of reviewing and formatting the other articles, so keep your eyes peeled for them in the near future! |  |
