Oh dear, quite some time since I have posted anything... and still for some reason, this blog (especialy on such subject) is what I do after such long pause, eh.
Seems that the paths of life are really unpredictible, since I would never thought in my life that I gonna ever post anything about Pokemon whatsever the case.
And despite that, here it is, as weird as I can just think off, but I have a strange urge to post my opinion on this matter 8-)

Alright, so let's get to the point...

I don't follow in last months, well, *cough*years*cough* the happenings in the field of gaming industry/entertainment, but in past few days I couldn't not notice all the Pokemon Go talk around.
I came to pmc, and see a Pokemon Go theme in a blog, I come back days laters, and I find even more of that sort of topics...
Shortly I start to have the feeling that when I open my fridge some Pokemon Go food will be there too... it's like everywhere omg...
OK, I mean... WTH?!

So...what is all this hype around Pokemon GO! at all?

I have read something that gave me a small idea what is this new game all about... and it catched my interest.
I don't talk now about any Pokemon, they never had my interest, but the new way of combining virtual game with a real life enviroment... woaw... now that is what I call a new event worth notice.
So I started up google and watched some video on yt about Pokemon Go.

I came to the following result:
interesting idea, just as I thought.

but honestly... If I would be in a walk in park and at once see someone nearby me behaving like this (seen in the video on yt) I would punch him down maybe... since I would not even know WTH is going on and why he screams nearby me like as if he would become a billionaire.
But that is rather just a funny part...
...then came the after-thought ...I imagined a mass of people running around like that and behaving the same... mg... I would start barricading me up at home maybe to avoid the spreading infection of unknown madness virus.

OK, now I went a bit too far in storytelling, but anyways, the point is still valid.

Since, as said, it is an interesting idea, project...
...but when I imagine it should be occuring en masse on multiple games in future...and the "outdoors" would be flooding with "gamers" and their smartphones running around... uhm...
...along just this scenery is already hilarious ... however at the same moment quite annoying and .. hmm... what is the right word for it which would describe it correctly... hmm...
...unpleasant? treatening?

Let's say the truth, people don"t give a lot about gamers, I mean the non-gamer people merely ignore us, gamers...
we sit in our rooms and do w/e we do... they don't even know about us in most of the time.
But, when we would start running into "their" "normal" world, outdoors as they know it, dunno... that could start a new era of standings towards players....

When I imagine myself into their roles, "serious living" one's life, which does not sees any point in gaming, first I would be just extending my thought about gamers... but when I would day by day meet such strangers, and they would be anywhere around, where the application takes them to... I would not be happy from that myself, tbh.

Not sure if you get my point here so far, but it would be simply quite invading their "world" their lifes. (ofc. they have no more rights for "their" world as we do).

Aside that... I am not sure how the points are chosen IRL for the ie. Pokemon Go, spots where you have to go or w/e
but my point is... that it could lead into some serious traffic accidents, etc.
Since ppl, players, would focus more on the smartphone display probably... and/or if there is a traffic going on and at once you have to cross the road since you notice a ie. Pokemon spawned on the other side of the street... so what now? you will start rushing towards his position just so you dont miss it.
Maybe nothing's gonna happen to you, nor your friends, maybe never, or just not this time, but it may happen to someone. Maybe 1 out of 100 players, or 1 out of 1000... or 10000... that is still a quite big number in the end, when you take into count that there are milions of players around the world. That would be thousands of accidents...

well...
so what was the whole point for me writting this off-topic blog at all?

To take a bit different look at that new gaming hype, which started Pokemon Go, and quite possibly it will have more and more upcoming "rivals", be it a ie. Counter-Strike Go, Minecraft Go, w/e Go... (pure fictional tittles, just for the sake of example).

Ofc. it is a very new and interesting, different sort of experience of gaming, it is good for our health as well, since we move our arses off our chairs at homes, and get a fresh air (well.. fresh... "fresh"... if we look apart from the poluted air with chemicals...) we meet people, see the sun, nature, surroundings around us (well... if one will not stare into his smartphone display most of the time ofc.) etc.

But on the other hand... it's gonna have an impact on the world around us more as ever before.

So should this new sorf of gaming.. or should I rather name it... Interaction... be expanded across the field of gaming, or rather go,... go away?

IMO Only time will tell :)

And what are your opinions on this matter folks? Leave your thoughts in the comments below, let's discuss, share thoughts.

That was a long blog......

anyway, I agree that Pokémon GO can be dangerous but I also agree that it a good thing. It getting ppl to go outside playing video games, instead of in a chair or on a couch playing video games. I've heard of ppl getting stabbed, drowning, finding dead bodies, but I'm still addicted. XD. I also think the tech is amazing! The future is here! Anyway, dats what I think. 💜🐰 ~ Wabbit

That bad thing about the accidents, is that the driver may be forced to pay for the medical stuff for the players that they hit. At least in America. Pokemon Go players will use accidents to sue people.
