Video games seemed to be tougher the farther back you go, but i'm not talking about tough as in today's game like Dark Souls, Demon, Souls, Ninja Gaiden, etc. But I mean tough as in they made you figure things out by yourselves! How many games do you know today that have a GAME OVER pop up? It's like the people who make these games need to guide us through everything we need to do. Honestly, I feel like Navi is following me around in a game with pop ups, and don't get me wrong, I loved OoT, and it actually made you think a bit, you actually had to read the text to figure out were to go, instead of just pop it up when you go. But honestly, compare today's games to something farther back, like the first Castlevania, were you had to use ALL the weapons instead of the just the whip, or when a GAMEOVER sign comes up when you die instead of just restarting were you left off. We don't need someone holding out hands through these games.

Okay, stop right there. Modern games aren't, 'easy' compared to older games. There is just a lot more varity, and now there's different difficulties of nearly all games, and right now the mainstreme games are shooters, so look behind that. Portal 2 anyone? Minecraft redstone? Come on, don't be so blind. Just becuase all you hear is, CALL OF DUTY IS THE 1337EST GAME EVERZZ!!!!111 Doesn't mean it's the only game. There is nothing wrong with games giving a bit of guidance, it makes it so anyone can play, not just people who have spent years trying to master a game. I sir, call you an attention seeking loser. You don't know what you're talking about, you just want to sound smart. Now, get out of my Internet before I eject you by force!

All i'm giving is my opinion on the subject. Obviously you do not the share the same opinion as me, but there are a few who out there that would agree with me on the matter, or someones else's opinion. And about games giving you guidance, in some games, ya, it's okay if there is one or two pop ups telling you to do this to be able to do that. I prefer games that make you think a little bit more instead of "Okay, go strait" or "Press X" and 30 sec later "Press X". And in case you've managed to make it to this part, no, I haven't played every single game in the world, but like I said at the start of this comment "All i'm giving is my opinion on the subject".
