There are lots of different kinds of health
Physical
Mental
Emotional
Social
Environmental
and more
With the new year here, we are probably all looking at trying to improve one or more of these. Although, there is one kind of health that is often times overlooked.
That is Spiritual Health!
In 1 Timothy 4:8 It says
“For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”
So how do we improve our godliness, or spiritual health?
(Take a moment and think about it)
You might have said reading the bible or praying. These are great answers, and they are key ingredients to having good spiritual health.
But it doesn’t stop there!
There are many more ways to improve your spiritual health.
Some people say it is all about what you do. Like praying, helping someone cross the street, being kind, and so much more.
But I would say, it’s also about what we don’t do.
If we hang out with ungodly people, we are risking our spiritual health.
If we watch inappropriate content, we are risking our spiritual health.
If we listen to bad music, we are risking our spiritual health.
If we dwell on our past mistakes, we are risking our spiritual health.
What are we doing to improve our spiritual health?
You might not be a spiritual person, and I am not trying to shove this whole Christianity thing in your face.
I just ask that you consider where you are in life, and what you might be doing that doesn't honor others or God.
