Factions is that fun team driven plugin, right? Sure it is, however, now that relatively every server has factions on it, ito s lost its magic touch.



How is factions dead?



Some would say ito s very well alive, but Io d call it dead since ito s on such an abundance of servers and people are losing interest. I remember back when it first came out; it was awesome! When the server I was playing on got it, people were making factions left and right and it was all a good time. Now, however, when you go onto the servers page there will always be factions servers on the list.



Some people may argue: o Well factions was always popular on the list beforeo , but not like it is now. It used to be leveled with regular survival and creative servers. Now ito s all over the place and probably the top server type on the list.



RezzedUp, youo re a hypocrite, you own a factions server!



I do in fact own a factions server. However, I will be converting it to something else soon for the very reason Io m making this blog. My players and I have lost interest in factions.



What do you recommend?



If youo re going to make a server or going to change your server from factions to something, I recommend good oleo fashioned survival without pvp or griefing. So much can be done with this simple concept that ito s a shame to see ito s now a minority in server types.
