Hey PMC! Today I'm going to tell you the sad (but true) story of my first Minecraft world. Enjoy!
It was july 2012 and I had just bought Minecraft. It was only version 1.2.5. I had been begging my parents for months to let me get it, and finally around when I finished school for the year my parents gave in. I was so excited (I was eleven I got excited about everything) and as soon as I had downloaded it I created a survival world called Home Swamp since I spawned in a swamp biome. Anyways I was the biggest noob in the world. My house started out as pretty much a cobble cube by the shoreline and every time I mined enough cobble I would build another floor. One day I decided my rooms weren't big enough and just started building off of the smaller part to make a rectangle instead of a square. Around the third or fourth floor I got tired of cobble and I made walls of sandstone and then leaves. I also made a nice fishing dock with a hut and boat and everything. I didn't just build stuff though I found more than my fair share of generated structures. One of the first structures I found was a stronghold. I was mining around in a cave when I saw a bunch of stone bricks. At that point I was shivering so much that I could barely press the right keys. Also a bunch of deserts had spawned with a gigantic amount of desert temples. I found 3-5 in total including one that had spawned in in a jungle biome from a 1.3 bug. There were also countless mineshafts and dungeons scattered everywhere. But one day it all went wrong. I decided that I had pretty much licked my area clean of diamonds so I went on a mining trip. Huge mistake. When I was riding in my boat I noticed a big hole that turned out to be a chunk error, so of course I went and jumped in it being the noob I was. Then a load of squids just spawned in it and lagged the crap out of my game. So since I had an hp windows laptop I was used to lag and naturally I just logged out and came back on and my world was so laggy it couldn't even save. After that I ran away crying.
Thank you for reading my very sad blog :.(
Diamond to make me feel better!
Home Swamp
1.2.5-1.4
Update: So I logged on to my old computer yeaterday and tried once again to play on my first world. Of course as soon as I made a blog about me feeling so sorry for myself I got my world back. So I guess that renders this blog kinda useless. Huh.
