Part 5
o The city is taken!o yelled Baraaduk over the crowd of creatures and necromancers.
o Baraaduk, tell your armies to start marching for the southern Moochiean lands.o Commanded Nitas.
o But sir we just claimed this city shouldno t we celebrate or at least rest a day before covering such a massive distance?o
o The dead dono t need to eat or rest, and neither do you unless youo d like to join them, now march!o Baraaduk quickly got his necromancers in formations and they started to move out of the burning city, not one citizen was left alive.
Soon Nitas was over the mountains and in the desert of Renuk. After three days of nonstop marching he and his army rested for a night, one it was over the covered the remaining distance and started into the mountains of Bron. I was filled with anger when I heard that Nitas had pillaged Nitoj and is now entering my home mountain range, but Forsha told me to be calm, and that I shouldno t seek revenge. I could see that Nitas was making his way towards Sentron, my cityo ¦ the city was inside a giant cave with the most amazing crystal formations, the entrance to the cave was the only way in and out and was at least four hundred feet tall. There was a hundred foot tall wall between it and a large gate with a moat. If Nitas was going to attack the cave he would have to come through the wall and I would be there to stop him with all my troops
I had just recently found ways to transform myself into living stone; I used this shape a lot mainly because it made me stronger more durable and I could grow to be as large as the cave entrance itself. Sadly though I was slower when in this form and had to use my power draining magic to increase my speed. I felt ready for Nitas, but was my army and myself enough?
o Sir we are ready for attack.o Said Baraaduk.
o Good, my strategy is simple, one way out one way in, we will send the worm men to take out any soldiers on the walls, once they are under pressure we will send the batgoles with the necromancers over the wall to take out the city, if anyone sees Bron notify me and I will send Iraz and Leet to take care of him. Now leto s get a move on.o
I stood in the center of the wall over my gate, half my army stood on the wall with their boomerang launchers the other half on the ground with their spears, we looked out onto the rocky landscape and saw a never ending field of death, I could sense the fear in my soldiers and in myself. I didno t even know what death was like, how I would die, what it would be like after I diedo ¦ I was completely lost. o Forsha save us.o I said aloud. I didno t even know how to fight, ito s not like I killed anyone before, let alone fight anyone. There was some instinct that was popping in my head; it was my free will that Forsha had given me and all the ancients at the beginning of time. If we did not have a free will like the humans on earth we would just be mindless holy beings.
Suddenly I saw a large group of creatures running at extremely high speeds towards the wall, I quickly commanded my men to shoot them down but they were going to fats, my men could not hit them for they had no experience shooting at such fast paced targets. And then the most terrifying thing happened, the creatures leaped into the air and landed on our walls! They started to wreak havoc and when I saw them up close I couldno t believe my eyes, they were no more than deranged corpses covered in worms and maggots. The worst part was that they possessed my soldiers with maggots as well, for every one we killed five more took its place because at average they converted five of our soldiers before they died. The only way we could kill them was chopping one half of the corps and pushing it over the wall so the maggots couldno t get back up. I quickly went into action and used my elemental powers of stone to take down the possessed creatures. As I was throwing one of the worm men over the wall I felt a small pain leak up from my elbow, I turned my head and saw one of the monsters biting my shoulder and the maggots from the creature where infesting my elbow. I quickly turned to stone and elbowed the monster in the face so hard that his head flew off over the wall. I then grabbed the remains of the corps by the stomach and hurled it over the wall. I quickly noticed one of my men which I knew personally being surrounded by the creatures, I leaped into the air and landed on one smashing it, I quickly reached me hand ouch and touched ones face instantly turning it to stone. I then smashed another with my fist right before it bit my friend. I looked at him and told him to be careful, he smiled and agreed as I helped him up.
o Sir the maggot men are slowly overcoming the wall but Bron is stopping them, from getting any further.o Said Baraaduk to Nitas.
o Send in the batgoles to take the city; I will inform Iraz and Leet to take action. Now go!o
Nitas made his way towards the front lines where he found Iraz and Leet talking and Irazo s brother silently watching the battle. o Iraz Leet get your blades and go take care of Bron.o The two necromancers quickly picked up their blades and rushed off towards the wall.
