Now that I've done an antipole to my rant on unoriginal servers, I feel like doing an antipole to my Top 12 things that people want in Minecraft that will never be in Minecraft. So here are my Top 12 things that I want in Minecraft. Only rule, they have to be feasible (meaning, no Trucks, Trains, or Previous World Generators.)
12. Nether Ores. I think they should have a Nether Diamond Ore that is as rare as Gold/Butter, but in the Nether. Then they should have an ore that is as rare as Diamonds but more powerful, but in the Nether. They should have something rarer than emeralds in the nether, too. I think all three should be used for armor.
11. Colored Wood Items. Instead of Wood Sword, Ladders, Etc. we should have Oak Wood Swords and Ladders. Enough said.
10. Sap, and Maple Trees. They should add a sap tap, and the regular trees should have sap that isn't very filling, but easy to get in a pinch, but they should add a maple tree that gives Maple Sap, which can be made into Syrup by smelting.
9. Anti-Nether. I know there's the Aether Mod, but that takes too long to update, and there's too much lore for my tastes. An opposite to the Nether would be cool. I'd like to see a "hostile paradise." I'd like to see a similar concept to Aether, except without all of the stupid lore.
8. Extended Pistons. All kinds of new redstone contraption possibilities if pistons were extended!
7. SOMEHOW implement Normal Pigmen. My idea is Nether Villagers, but I'm open to other ideas.
6. Ability to get currently un-usable enchants. Nuff said.
5. Craftable Saddles and Horse Armor. Nuff' Said.
4. More Bosses. I don't know what bosses, but I want more. Maybe a Nether Boss (God Ghast? That's my only boss idea.)
3. Ability to apply stickiness to any block. For redstone contraptions, this would be fantastic. Adventure maps would be nearly revolutionized.
2. Ability to turn off enchant bar, and hunger meter. This would be a cheat, and one I'd use. This would be nice for adventure maps that want the ability to use enchantment tables as scenery, but don't want to have enchants available, or if adventure maps don't want hunger. But for me, I'd use it to play Beta without missing out on The End, Horses, Etc.
1. Shields. It would transform Mob Fighting and PvP FOREVER! Screw blocking with sword, block with SHIELD! If you think it would be overpowered, the crafting recipe would take a lot of supplies. It would be large, for easy blocking. I know this is already in Hexxit (Not sure which mod in Hexxit,) but that's where I fell in love with the idea.
