Sooo last night, I said goodbye to the massive cave system I finished lighting up (got 4 diamonds out of it!), and begun to work on the Waterfall I had planned...FINALLY I am beginning BUILDING things in Minecraft!! :) You can see my plans for my world I made on Paint here!:
My world plans

If you've read my past 2 blogs, I have basically been in ultimate desire to start building things on Minecraft 'seriously' [serious business!], since I only had a small sandhouse, and a neat 2-tree treehouse. The rest of the time, I have been basically living underground, but NOW I have begun my building journey, after planning it all out on the map of my world (I got Cartographer and it's amazing!). And so far, I am really happy with the results! Some of the things I'm keeping out of it actually happened by accident! But I'm still definitely NOT done, but I wanted to show off some progress, and maybe I can get people to criticize it... >;)

Here's a nice pic of the main fall I have (the annoying dry dirt corner there has been fixed since lol!):

The waterfall is the fun part. I confused myself a lot, but I managed to make the springs on top look at least sort of natural and clean to my liking:

It seems still empty. I have just started planting trees, and so I think a little more plantzing will be in order :) Also the 2x1 hump I thought was cool, because it has water flowing under it, but from afar it looks pretty silly. Here is a picture I have from afar and you will see what I am talking about:

Here's another nice picture from afar just for fun, I am also adding falls to that little side sand pit on the left as well:

Something you may have also noticed, is that from the springs the falls also go out to my ocean, on the other side of the mountain:

This was completely by accident; while I was building, I took a block out, and the entire springs poured out to the sea behind me. However, after looking at it, I decided that it was better looking than a boring dirt slope, and that I could do things with it to make it look nice. So I have planted trees around the hillside to make it look more pleasing and nice to look at, and added a sandy rock platform thing in the middle :) The sand rock was harder to build than I thought with all the pesky falls trying to go completely over it! Here's a full pic of the other side of the falls:

****THE LAKE****
The Lake is something I haven't really worked tediously on yet, but have discovered that it is going to be a lot more tedious than I initially thought. I watched a couple nice videos (the Science of Minecraft with Water one was really great!), and tried to inspire myself. What I think I'm going to do is just layer every piece of sand that's over 2 blocks deep with dirt blocks. I will do this for the entire lake, then fill it. The methods I have been trying are too hectic and I don't have the short-term patience to lololfail.

Then I will take out the dirt blocks, so it is a nice sandy bottom. Anyway, you may have seen shots, but here are some more for your pleasure :)

The currents are something that were really eating me alive when trying to fill it last night. It's really fun to watch the water fill up at least a little from the falls though :)

***OTHER MISC. CHANGES I'M MAKING***
-Will remove cobblestone arrow pointing to a cave (which is now underwater anyway)
-I have been doing this a little bit for the waterfall area already, but I will probably beautify the area by putting more trees around. I think it will make more sense and feel more natural anyway. I will also feel better about myself.
-I am also hoping to make another house, right beside this lake, clearing out some of the hills and such. I think I may make a video of it when I get to that point :)
-Unsure if I want to extend it to my desert to another coast about a km out, but will make that decision later :)

Other things that happen that's funny, is now when daytime comes, there are still monsters alive because they are in the water, too wet to get all fired up. It's no problem because even the skeleton archers fall away from where I'm working, and I also have torches set up in places meant for walking around anyway.

I hope you have enjoyed my pics, and work! It's still WIP, and I'm a very tough critic of myself, and so please, please...any criticism you have I will take very welcoming. Anyway, I will be working on this today, and will post with pictures when I'm done! :)

Farewell till next time,
-Sea0tter
