Heres a quick list of what I hate about bukkit servers:
1. Plugins
The hassle, lag and trouble that come with them are almost not even worth the trouble of installing the wretched things.
The few plugins that do work are beneficial for you but always tend to be misused by other players.
2. Ranks
I'de say about half of the people that join bukkit servers are in search of staff or a rank. I mean WHAT IS SO IMPORTANT ABOUT HAVING A STAFF POSITION. It just stresses me out. Also just the fact that when players do get staff they abuse it most of the time and brag about how great they are. This includes some owners who show off by abusing plugins (another reason why I hate them) and having random ass drop parties which kinda ruins the point of a faction, survival or any server at all.
3. Commands
Don't get me wrong I like preforming commands now and then. But when bukkit servers just get plain overloaded with plugins and you have an infinite amount of commands to figure out it kinda gets stressful and annoying. Plus having to waste 30 minutes scrolling through the command pages isn't a lot of fun.
4. Players
It seems like the actual mature and decent minecraft community has migrated to tekkit and mindcrack servers. Which just leaves inconsiderate hackers left for bukkit servers. I'm not saying everyone on a bukkit server is a pain , but most of them are. Especially those hackers who show off by flying and griefing your stuff.
5. Donations
I can't even tell you how many times I have joined a server and been pressured and spammed to donate ridiculous amounts of money towards a server that I havn't even spent 10 minutes on. Plus those people who have donated either get 1 extra command for 50 dollars like fly or something OR get 3 stacks of diamond, fly, the freaking moon, a horse, the right to be a prick and whatever they want.
Well Thats what I hate about bukkit servers. I feel relieved now XD. But yea, comment what you hate about them or if you disagree entirely with what I just said. Btw this does not apply to all bukkit servers. There are some very nice ones out there.
