Brutal survival is an extensive survival datapack that aims to make the game brutally hard. Many vanilla features have been reworked, and even more have been added. The full list can be found here:
Reworked healing:
- Disabled natural health regen
- Toss logs onto a campfire to heal (inspired by True Survival)
- Craft healing salves, bandages and plasters (put into offhand to use)
Realistic Torches:
- Torches can only be crafted from charcoal
- Torches are now unlit after being crafted, and must be lit with a matchbox
No tree punching:
- Players need to craft flint tools instead of wooden ones to cut trees
- Grass and ferns drop plant fiber
- Logs can no longer be crafted into planks
- Players will have to strip logs and the chop them to obtain planks
Requires Optifine.
