I have forge, minecraft 1.4.5 and i'm running othr forge mods (like thaumcraft end EE3) but i can't seem to install it, no error message pops out, but i cant find the items in the creative menu. HELP PLEASE!!

Very few. Most of this update was just content and not a lot of the base code was refactored. It took me about 1/10th the amount of time that 1.3 took.

By far. I haven't even thought of using ModLoader for about 6 months now. Forge gives you so many more options to make your mod unique and compatible. It's also better to start with forge than to use ModLoader and transfer over (I learned the hard way).

Hey, I just wanted to know the difference between Glowstone, Netherrack, Obsidian, and End Stone items. What's the order from worst to best? Also, shouldn't the item types have different properties? For example, Glowstone swords could come built-in with Smite, against the undead, who fear the light. Netherrack swords and bows could be built-in with Fire Aspect and Flame. Netherbrick armor could give some built-in Fire Protection, and Obsidian armor with built-in Blast Protection. End Stone bow could come with built-in Infinity(useful against Ender Dragon). End Stone armor could come with built-in modest Regeneration.
Also, I posted some other ++ item and property ideas at your "Now What" blog, like Sponge(Soak water), Cactus(Contact Damage), Lapiz(Water), Leaf(Falling Damage Resist), Ice(Freeze Water on Step/Strike), Cocoa/Lily(Jump Height), Flower(Low Regeneration from sunlight), and Sugar(Haste).

I just opened the config files for Netherrack, Obsidian, and End Stone, and it seems all three item types have the same exact stats. Could you somehow modify it so they're different? I think it should be Netherrack -> Diamond -> End Stone -> Obsidian
as End Stone is easier to mine, and can be mined with any pickaxe. Netherrack is easy to obtain only after a portal to the Nether is created, which requires obsidian, but it is abundant and mined very fast, so it should provide less armor than iron, but high Fire Resistance. The Netherrack weaponry, which is harder to obtain, should also have the ability to set mobs on fire. If you were to include Soul Sand, it would provide almost as much protection as iron, slow mobs on strike, and provide Knockback Resistance somehow. If you were to include Lapiz Lazuli, it would have higher stats than Soul Sand, and I believe it should have respiration/waterbreathing and Aqua Affinity built into the armor pieces. The weaponry should be able to put out lava and really hurt Endermen, who are weak against water. Glowstone would come slightly after Lapiz Lazuli, and have built-in Smite(against undead who fear light) and Night Vision potion effect(if wearing full set), as well as glow. Then it would be Diamond, End Stone(modest hp regen effect, and bow has Infinity), and Obsidian(built-in Blast Resistance effect)

You need to extract the files into a new folder and then double click it.
or
You can download the "Other OS" version from the minecraft forum post and install it manually.

I like this mod. I think you should make a use for dirt... Crafting dirt to get like stone and then stone to coal and then coal to iron etc. This would be crafting. A=dirt, coal, iron, etc. B=something somewhat hard to get so you can't be like "Oh, I have diaomds and I haven't even made a wood pick!"
