MCSkin3D Beta 1.4.0.174: http://alteredsoftwo...b_1_4_0_174.zip

Not many changes, but, Pony support is in. It's not entirely completed yet, as we're in the process of re-designing the "parts" to be more modular.

I also fixed a few tiny bugs, as well as two MAJOR bugs (paint bucket/color picker were swapping G and B value, as well as a render bug that caused paint bucket to crash).

The new color wheel isn't in this version, but it will be in the next beta.

As always, follow our Facebook page for more news:

Whenever I open MCSkin3D a huge red ' X ' appears on my screen. This is restricting me from skinning.
I've had this program for three months and this has only recently started happening.

Before I download, I would like to know if the program is going to mess up my computer, because I tried downloading RudoPlays ( a shaders mod ) and my computer got a virus. I had to reprogram my computer which caused everything on it, including minecraft and everything I had built on it, to vanish. If it is safe then im super excited to use this ♥♥

I love this application! This makes making skins seem so... brainless! :D
Not to complain or anything, but I wish that you add the ability for us to copy and paste selected parts of our skins so that it's much easier and will take up less time to makes skins. I'm simply implying that it'll make it more convienient, not that it's bad.

There is, it's called the stamp tool. Choose the brush you would like to choose and shift click over the area you want copied (using stamp tool). Then release the button and you should have the selected texure. You can then put this on the skin of our choosng. Hope this helped!

Nova Skin doesn't have the 2d skin file preview like this does. Plus, it's offline, so when your Internet's down, you can still make skins.

Are there keyboard shortcuts for the tools? I can't seem to find any, so I am wondering if they are implemented (e.g. pressing "P" for "Pencil"). This, in my opinion, would be the most worthy addition to the program if keybindings are not already implemented.

Also, a selection tool would be nice (such as to select a portion of the skin to delete/copy/move).

If anyone could help me find these features (if they exist), that would be fantastic.

Hey there, just wanted to let you know that for whatever reason, sometimes MCSkin3D likes to think that my Alex 1.8-model skins are actually normal 1.8-model skins and reshape the arms. I end up having to switch it back manually. Any way to fix this?

Also, does this support 1.8 skinning (hat layer on whole body, different arms and legs), as well as the Alex Model?
This looks like a great skin editor, and I think this would be great to use!

If you do not want anything that has a bug in it at all, you might as well wipe your computer clean... and then throw it out of a window.  No OS, software, plugin, or application will ever be bug free.

Absolutely amazing. I was using paint but because there was no preview, sometimes it would be hard to see whether I'd gotten it right unless i uploaded and logged in. This however is literally soooooooooooo useful and good and convenient! + It supports the alex model! Hooray!

HOWEVER, there is no selection tool (or i'm blind T_T) which is kind of annoying so I can't move a bunch of pixels at once or copy&paste a pattern

Is here any way to convert a 1.7 skin to a 1.8 skin (add the body armor)
Edit Reply Delete
Using the MCSkin3D, there's a selection to choose the model located on the upper right corner. From "Human" change it to "Human 1.8". Of course, after changeing it, it will lack some limbs because of the different model. This time you should add them, then the armor. I hope it helps. (RIP English)
