Not many changes, but, Pony support is in. It's not entirely completed yet, as we're in the process of re-designing the "parts" to be more modular.

I also fixed a few tiny bugs, as well as two MAJOR bugs (paint bucket/color picker were swapping G and B value, as well as a render bug that caused paint bucket to crash).

The new color wheel isn't in this version, but it will be in the next beta.

I love this program! It makes skinning very easy and the interface is very easy to use. I have a couple of questions:
Have you considered adding animations into it such as running, crouching etc. so you can see how the skin looks when doing different actions? Sometimes I miss spots and don't realise until I've uploaded it here (usually it's the top of the legs).
I notice that a few mob textures (rabbit, bat, Wither and Enderdragon) aren't included. Will they be added in the future?

ehhhh dose not support linux ok i can live with that, however it takes practice to use i prefer other tools until now. because of my other programs only support 1.8 now, i want to make a skin with 1.7 oh well, thisworks fine i just wish there was a way to create an easer way of shadeing with our mine looking so generic

Paril, I have a few suggestions:
1) When I click on "Help" -> "Check for Updates", it should actually check for updates
2) More languages in the "Language" tab. Spanish, German, and Chinese Simplified are my suggestions
3) https://flic.kr/p/vVBeUA - How did this even happen? The skinning is weird.

Will this ever be updated to have horses? I would like to make some custom skins for horses, so that I can make some special event horses on my server. I've also sent in a bug report long ago, but I haven't gotten a response.

Before when I opened MCskin3d, it worked fine... But now it says "MCskin3d has stopped working".
Help? I've tried to use a better internet source, and it didn't work, I tried on my other computer, and it still doesn't work!

there should be a way to clone sides, it would be so easy to shade the head . imagine, you only have to shade one side and then you are done with all the head!

I am not aware where to report bugs. However, when creating a new folder in MCSkin3D it's self, the file moves out of the skins folder (whereever you extracted the files.)

Here is what I mean.

As this is not an issue to me personally, (I can just drag it back into the skins folder) it is a little bit of an inconvieniance.

Hello, I've been using MCSkin3D ever since I started skinning...and now suddenly it doesn't work. I have a Windows 8, if you ask. When I click the MCSkin3D file (as  I always did) it comes up with this:

I have the report if it's needed. I feel as if I should just reinstall it....my theory is that this file I downloaded in order to play a Steam game either corrupted or deleted the file? Is that possible? Of course these are practically rhetorical questions, as all I want answered is what to do about my MCSkin3D program.

You could've saved your WIPS by going into the MCSKIN folder, and making a backup of the 'skins' folder.

Can someone please help me? c: Whenever I try to save or delete a skin while using this application, a message pops up that reads,
"MCSkin3D encountered an error, and may become unstable. However, fear not, as there is something you can do! If you wish to help the developers, please send us an error report, at the far bottom of this window is a blue arrow that leads you to the contents of an error report. Sending this to us (search for us on Planet Miencraft) will help development greatly!"
This is extremely aggrivating as I can't save skins, making it impossible to upload them to my minecraft.net .

How do you get it for mac? The blog to tell you how to get it is gone. When I try to open the file my computer says,"You can’t open the application “MCSkin3D.exe” because Microsoft Windows applications are not supported on OS X." Help me please.
