Version 1.5.0.300 is out! Mostly bug-fixes, but here's a changelog:

- Lightened the load even more.
- Made program more portable
- New Skin now defaults to 1.8 human
- New Skin now checkerboards the default area instead of white, makes it easier to see in 2D view
- All "Delete" operations now send to Recycle Bin
- Fixed a huge issue with the root folder (should fix any issues with moving, cloning and renaming)
- New/Copied skins and folders now properly use the New prefix, and refer to language files for "New", "Copy", etc.
- Tree view default height was wrong, caused some distortion on heads.
- Re-upgraded to .NET 4.0
- Reduced size of exception messages
- Moved tool options dropdown to top-right

Not many changes, but, Pony support is in. It's not entirely completed yet, as we're in the process of re-designing the "parts" to be more modular.

I also fixed a few tiny bugs, as well as two MAJOR bugs (paint bucket/color picker were swapping G and B value, as well as a render bug that caused paint bucket to crash).

The new color wheel isn't in this version, but it will be in the next beta.

I've been trying to use the latest version, but every time i try opening it, it says I'm missing some default language files. Idk if the report will help but here;

You can turn off the base skins in the Options. It's more of a convenience function for the other models honestly, but I expected most people would just blank the skin out anyways.

Hello!
I am unable to create a 1.9 skin, with the 'Hat' effect over the entire body instead of just the head.

As long as you select the default full Steve or Alex, it should be fine. They have armor layers on every piece.

There's a very rudimentary copy/paste with the Stamp tool. I had never designed a proper selection tool though so it wasn't in the plans at the time. If you select the Stamp tool it'll tell you how to use it at the bottom.

Firstly, this program is amazing! Thank you for making it!

Secondly, I have found an error. I'm using the latest version. I see someone below who complained about it but they didn't answer your question. In the 2D view when you increase the resolution with the Steve and Alex models, the pixel and cursor do not line up. http://i.imgur.com/QEoRqyb.jpg Please fix it, thanks. (:

Under Options there's a setting for using default skins, which is enabled by default. If you disable it you'll get a blank skin.

Can you put templet for minecraft 1.8.9,1.9.0,1.9.1,1.9.2,1.9.3,1.9.4 and for these with the clock in it(that it is on every version too lets say the clock place too,i dosen,t like too create seperate and not knowing how to upload to minecraft website(i like sometimes satan type clokcs,a litle bit edited and uploaded too),and i know that jet tails are not implemented sepereatedly too the clokcs(skin(alex or steave)+cloack+tail(dubble type one)))

There's only two templates needed, the older simple model and the newer "full armor" model. Cloaks and Elytras are there as well but since the Minecraft site isn't ready to accept them yet I dunno how that's going to work.

Basically it's because I use the .NET Framework, and it's mainly targeted to Windows users. I don't know how easily it ports to other OSes. I plan to move the whole project to a web-based target so that it will work on any device.

If MCSkin3D doesn't open, could it have something to do with my graphics driver? I gotta install this chipset software, but can't. I contacted Intel about it, but for now, I can't use programs like Minecraft.

If you've got an older Intel HD chipset, you may not have drivers for Windows 10. It's a known problem, and I dunno if Intel will be fixing that to be honest.

Minecraft have never let you wear your own capes. Chances are you had a mod that was doing it.

So I just got around to downloading the newest update and there's no sign of the pony model. I tried moving mlp folder over to the newer version but the models are missing parts. Is there maybe fix for that?

It was working fine for me, but recently I made another skin, specified where to save it to, saved it and it wasn't there when I checked. I have tried multiple times to save the PNG image in various places, but the only way I can access it is by importing a new skin in MCSkin. I even tried copying it from the program's explorer to my computer but Windows says it does not exist.
Any help on the issue would be very much appreciated.

Theoretically yes, because I use the Techne model format. It might be an old format though by now.

I have it downloaded and installed on Windows 8 and 10. Check the system requirements and see if they match up with your computer's properties. Sometimes graphics drivers can be b*tches lol

Hi! So does this not work for mac? When I downloaded this program on my apple/mac laptop it sent me a bunch of weird characters such as "MZê[email protected]∫¥ Õ!∏LÕ!This program cannot be run in DOS mode.
