  1. Get 7-Zip file archiver for opening jar files.
  2. Get fresh minecraft.jar by forcing update.
  3. Delete META-INF folder from minecraft.jar
  4. Extract ShapeShifterZ.zip file into the minecraft.jar
  5. Play!

  3. clip the plus button at botton of MCPatcher
  4. Navigate to desktop
  5. click on your mod in MCPatcher and open it

Well we have done some extensive testing after the multiplayer update and found some regressions to fix. I documented those in the post and have started looking into them. Most of them are related to the added complexity behind multiplayer support.

But I got a new feature in, while you are in first person view there is a small icon that shows your current shape. It should be easy to find on the screen.

hey zacuke, long time, no see!  Im mario2000, and i thought about how you wanted to make a flamethrower.  Well, there is an item fire, so why not make an ability that throws the item fire and when mobs get hit they catch on fire?

Good mod really good mod!But can you add some more features.Like from Iron Golem the can hear the walking sound.And for some mobs who add arms.And it would be cool that evil mobs won't attack you in every mob and to turning into villager only zombies can attack them.And when i am a herobrine mobs don't attack either.

I have to say, i am really liking this mod
I may have to download it soon
Though, I do think it would be nice if, when you are an Enderman and you teleport, it makes the teleporting sound. And the Enderman particles would be a nice touch as well, but this mod is fantastic either way.
I look forward to seeing what else this mod has to offer, keep up the good work!

not at the moment, however I have plans for a client-only version that would work on non-modded servers, with potential for other shape shifter clients to see you too


however, on non-modded server, the abilities will never ever work and there is no way around. the server controls the blocks and explosions

When i heard of this is thought it was going to be awesome and i could use it for my pvp/raiding faction on a server 'sigh' even if i used optifine it would be no different due to the fact u have to use an item meaning that the mod has to be one in the server. I'm going to use the X-Ray mod instead.

The item has nothing to do with it, the server and all other clients have to install the mod to recognize shape shifter network packets. you would be the only person seeing the difference

Um, on 1.5.2 when I try to step on pressure plates or flip a lever as a player, it does not work! This may be a bug, so you should look into it, but otherwise, it is a really nice mod! Congrats, but remember to fix the redstone bug! :)

Hey, how do I use Optifine with it? Every time I install Optifine Stardard OR Ultra after i install SSZ it crashes. Anyone know what to do? These are the only two mods there, deleted meta-inf, no forge or modloader, all version 1.5.2 mods. Thanks :)

you should make it so the shapes you can shift into have the power anyway, so that you don't have to have two shifting bones, you should just push a certain button to activate the ability

I found bugs: 
1. If you are a skeleton, when you shoot in front of a block or close to a block it shoots through the block. 
2. If you are a skeleton when you shoot it does not go where your cursor is.
3. If you are a enderman you have no particles around you.
4. If you are a enderman when you right-click it makes enderman fighting sounds..

No, you are wrong, left-click is for fighting, left-click is the mine/attack key. right-click is for placing blocks and opening doors and using the abilities of the mod.
