Thaumic Infusion is a addon for Thaumcraft 4, it uses assets from TC and does not claim ownership over TC.


Thaumic Infusion (TI) is a Minecraft mod built with the Forge API, TI is an add-on for Thaumcraft, it is based around a single mechanic added by Thaumcraft and trys to bring a brand new mechanic into Minecraft. This is Aspect Infusion, a Aspect is something added by Thaumcraft, Aspects make up every block in Minecraft and so there are different types of aspects. Aspect infusion is were you take a single Aspect and place it into a block space in the world, what this does is when a block is placed down in the same space as an Aspect, the block will take on special traits and effects that are unique to the aspect. An example of this would be to infuse Lux into a space, any block sharing the space will emit light like a torch.

Previous versions of Thaumic Infusion use to use work around infusing aspects into single blocks using the arcane infusion crafting system which was added by Thaumcraft, this did work but due to incompatabilities and item duping, TI has been reworked to be 100% more stable and compatible with all blocks. Though something to note, TI 3 IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 4! This means when you update a world that had old TI blocks in it, they will be lost!



Thaumic Infusion is Open-Source and adheres to the WTFPL Licence, essentially I don't mind people using this mod in packs, taking code from it or anything. The only thing I ask is credits are given to me, its not required but a simple link refering back to this thread doesn't hurt anyone.
