Thank you! I'm currently off Minecraft (break from it), but I plan to return soon and make good use of the underwater features to Minecraft. (Check the current snapshots, if you had not seen the new features!)

Put a crafted firework star into a crafting table, with dye(s) of your choice, and it will add a fade effect to the star. You can also use Golden Nuggets and Feathers to create effects that I didn't see while watching the firework show.
