Sorry to my subscribers for not having updated any of my projects in a month, but I had to stop all work on my previous main project, The western air temple, because of this project. As 1.7 is out, I will be resetting my server and decided to make a tropical cityscape spawn for the new world. It's not even close to being as massive as some of the other famous minecraft cities, but this city does have detail and the compact size actually makes the city usable. I'm not trying criticize other larger cities, I'm just saying too large a city and players either get lost very easily, or players don't bother exploring due to the size and too many buildings end up being just for decoration. My goal for this city was to make it as compact as possible, without making all the buildings on top of each other, in order to create a sense of community throughout the city. ATM the city has a total of around 20 large apartments as my server population is quite small. Other buildings that are included in the city, is the mob arena, mall with player plots, spawn building, train station and the factory that produces most of the goods sold in the server shop. In order to include enough buildings to make it actually look like a city, I had to add some building purely for decoration and sightseeing such as a library, museum, botanical garden and aquarium. In total the city has a number of 10 buildings, with the possibility of me adding 1 or 2 more if more apartments should be needed.

The architecture is heavily based on old unique buildings such as the sun tower and dominion building in Vancouver Canada. As I stated earlier it is supposed to have a tropical feel to it and as such it is located on the coast with a nice long beach running along the one side of the city. There are also several palm trees situated around the city taken from the famous tree repository by lentebriesje. As of yet the city does not have a name so feel free to post your name suggestion in the comment section ;)
