A Note from the Creator:
The idea behind my design was to make not only a peaceful resort, but something that would be fun to visit (ie 'play' with in Minecraft).
Almost all items are fully functional, the jacuzzis bubble, the steam room steams and Club Red drips fiery red lava throughout the club!
The DJ Booth in Club Red allows you to play a drum beat as well as Minecraft records so you can mix your own unique music.
All restaurants have assorted menu items and themes.
The bars feature assorted drinks with exotic fruit blends (Also known as potions.)
There are a few attractions, including Sticky Ball which is a playable game that could be played on an open server! This game is based on tournament style paintball.
The entire resort is connected via a tram for convenience!
As far as my design choices, I wanted to make sure there was a cohesive theme to the resort. All buildings are constructed with pristine white sandstone which is accented with diamond and gold blocks for that added posh detail.
The pools and ocean front areas feature fine wood furniture and umbrellas. There is plenty of room to sun yourself or lay poolside and sip an exotic drink!
The actual suites themselves also feature unique themes with different things to do in the rooms. The Music Lover's room has an entire floor made of music blocks which plays an original song. I admit I am not the best note block composer but I did try ;)
I also wanted to add that this resort is 100% created by me. I did not use a world editor, every block was laid one at a time by me. Any mountains I flattened was done with TNT :-)
