Hello! this is my design for an early 18th century first rate ship of the line! (im still deciding whether to put sails on her, comment down below what you prefer, furled sails or full canvas

Fictional ship biography:

Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe was laid down in 1724 at La Habana as an extension of the 1714 borbon modernization program, according to the 1723 document that called for a new first rate ship of the line of around 100-104 guns, 17 meters in width,, 70 meters of length and 8 meters of draft, and was to be named Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, this ship was authorized as special which meant that they could take as long as they needed to temper the wood and build the best quality 1st rate that the spanish could at the time, she was launched in 1730 from La Habana shipyards in Cuba, the same shipyards which would eventually construct Nuestra Señora de la Santísima Trinidad.

As soon as she was floated out she was placed on reserve, awaiting an opportunity to be used, that opportunity came in 1741 at the Battle of cartagena de Indias,where she engaged two british frigates, and survived with major damage to her mizzen mast and had 2 sailors wounded, otherwise the battle was a success for the first rate,after the battle she underwent a refit, among the changes was the change of the armament from 108 to 112 guns, the ship would be posted as a peacetime active duty first rate, which had many jobs among these displaying the spanish monarchy power on colonies and allied countries, this proved to be too expensive and she lasted on this role from 1743 to 1763, by this point the ship was already 33 years old, she was refitted once again to keep her seaworthy, the coming years were uneventful, until 1780 when the vessel took part in the Battle of cape St. Vincent, she ended up horribly damaged from this engagement, but was kept out of british hands by her cunning Captain, the ship was already 50 years old, way too old for a frontline service, she was broken up at Cádiz in 1782.
