This old castle was the first real structure I built when I created my survival realm several years ago. I'm posting it now despite its age because this abandoned base is actually still pretty cool (in my opinion at least). I loved the look of this chasm when I started the realm, and decided it had to be the location of my semi-hidden first base!

You can still find the remnants of my fledgling Minecraft survival efforts scattered throughout the fortress, including my original workshop, treasure room and underground rail station, and if you look closely enough you can probably tell that the surrounding forest was added artificially.

As usual, this build has been isolated from my full world for download purposes, so the nether portals and nicely-lit roads do fizzle out into newly generated terrain if you follow them long enough. But otherwise enjoy having a look around if you want!
