Finally able to render the ships ive been building for the past few months, among them is the

Venator Class Cruiser!

This is one of the first cruisers I've built, armed with four 9-inch guns and 9 smaller 7-inch guns.  

Built on the Aqiluam creative server, and rendered with Chunky.

When I saw Venator, I thought of Star Wars, but was surprised to see this! Awesome build!

Yea it's confusing to have it named Venator class cruiser since the name is already associated with the Venators from Star Wars.

Well, I named the class as such because they're meant to serve in search/destroy squadrons, and Venator means hunter in latin.  Although didn't anticipate THIS much controversy :P I'll probably come up with a more distinguishable class name soon.

If you like it, keep it! No reason why a ship class name can't be used in more than one place.

After all, my first thought was for the Romulan Venator Class in Star Trek Armada II, which appeared a few years before the name was used in Star Wars... ;)
