Something vastly different from what I've been doing lately, this time an old Australian diesel
The 47 class was built in the early 1970s for the NSW Public transport commission originally to serve on their Hunter Valley coal chain lines but they ended up being sent to the states west to serve the lines around the city of Bathurst. In 1981 they were transferred to Broadmeadow to fulfill their original purpose although some remained out west and only were transferred to Broadmeadow for storage after a downturn in traffic in the region. Despite their favoritism from their crews, high operating costs caused them to be withdrawn by 1990 although later that year Lachlan Valley Railway purchased a handful of the units and proceeded to use them on their freight network. In the modern day the remain Lachlan Valley units are in service with Southern Shorthaul Railroad with one in storage with Qube logistics.
