Can i has your permission to use your schematic to help me finish my 8bit calculator?
I have my method of dividing using shifting but its not 100% efficient and 10% of the time it can display a wrong number =s i have a rough idea on how your divider works but brains not entirely clicked yet.
I'm going to upload my project to youtube when i'm finished

I'll add your name/link in the credits/description :)
niche project...
you can use it
I would be very interested in exact tick spec on all these awesome arithmetic type devices,
It could take 172 ticks... but there are arithmeic rules beside the redstone rules
it is not that easy to calculate...
but i think the absolute worst case is 255/1 which takes about 165 ticks
if u set a to 255(1111 1111)
and for b switch between 1(0000 0001) and 254 (1111 1110)
most times its faster - if the remainder doesnt change 15 ticks are cut and there are 8 remainders
