About Rime International Airport:
Rime International Airport is the primary gateway for tourists visiting the fictional Rime Islands (based off of the settings from the video game RiME), which is located in the Meditarranean Sea near Sicily and Malta. Besides catering to tourists, the airport also serves as a key transfer point between destinations in Europe, North Africa, and other Meditarranean islands.
The airport is the main hub for RiMEJET, which is the flag carrier of the Rime Islands. RiMEJET offers an extensive route network covering Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, as well as providing some long-haul services to North America. Short and medium haul flights have services akin to those offered on low cost carriers, while long-haul flights are full service. RiMEJET is a member of Star Alliance and is partially owned by Turkish Airlines. All of RiMEJET’s aircrafts have their own unique names (provided in the plane list below).
The interior design of the terminal is partially inspired by the settings in the video game RiME and the anime Made in Abyss. The terminal layout is based off of Taipei Songshan Airport and Singapore Changi International Airport. Most of the stores and shops are from Taiwan and Japan, but some western brands are also present. Some interior and furniture designs could vary throughout the terminal, as this project was sporadically built over a span of three years.
