THIS PROJECT IS FOR THE MODDED VERSION OF SKYLANDS THE ANCIENT WORLD

The modded version can only be played in 1.12.2
Recommended forge version: 14.23.5.2768
(Newer version might work aswell, but this version was used to build the world!)
All mods and Config files are included with this download link.
Simply read the document withing the download file and you should be good.
Skylands a Modded Adventure gives players yet another challenge, much like the Vanilla version,You'llstart at the Runic Islands, but this time an old Ranger will guide you to the basics. After that you're free to explore, with only quests that guide your way.
This map has many mechanics that the player will have to get used to.
As seen in the pictures, there is another HUD and players can see the health of enemies.
There is also a skill tree with 3 skills.
Strenght will allow the player to wield high damage weapons
Agility will alow the player to wield quick weapons
Mining will allow the player to mine ore's, use lava etc.
Around the map players will also encounter many NPC's and Merchants.
Interacting with NPC's will give the player quests or information.
Merchants will simply sell equipment, food and ores for coins.
As you follow the story of Skylands, you'll quickly find out that you can increase your Health.
Armor has also been replaced to give the user health instead.
There are a couple of items to help players heal back large amounts of HP (150+ HP)
Many diffrent type of enemies await you and in the deepest dungeons you'll find Bosses.
Killing these bosses will grant players a soul which they can exchange for an item of choice.
Estimated playtime:
Just the mainstory - 15 hours
Mainstory with building & minimal Exploring - 50 hours
Making full use of all mods - 250+ hours
This ''modpack''/map might cause loading issue's for some users, and because of that these mods/configs are always getting slight tweaks. But in the case that it might not work, look under the known issue's tab on this page.

Multiplayer:
MAKE SURE TO DISABLE MOB SPAWNING IN THE SERVER.PROPERTIES.
This map can be played on a Multiplayer server and should also be balanced for Co-Op.
Players that play co-op will have lower levels, which means weaker weapons and lower health.
So teaming will be a lot more crucial.
If you want this map on a server with random people playing it, keep in mind that grinding will become a thing.
But in this case the server owner should be able to find ways to prevent this.
This map can be played on a Multiplayer server and should also be balanced for Co-Op.

Known Issue's and how to solve them if you happen to run into one of them:
- Black/Purple skins
This issue's cannot be resolved by normal means and has to be fixed by me the author.
If you happen to find any npcs with the kind of skins, let me know
- Davinci Vessels
While not a bug on its own, its important to follow the book that is given to you ingame
And Always disassemble your ship when you log off! - Instant crash when launching
Update forge to the recommended version: 14.23.5.2768
If that doesn't solve the problem try the following:
First remove the optifine mod if it is present if not do the following:
Remove the IceandFire / Llibrary mods
Removing these mods will sadly remove dragons and a couple of equipments

I also put the npc folder in my own .minecraft folder while doing all of this.
I would appreciate it a lot if you could help.
I am very excited to play the map.
maybe I did have it installed and I just had to play a little
If you've installed all mods an NPC will await you on the first island.
Without the NPC folder you should see the NPC aswell, though some npcs later on might be black/purple due to missing textures.
Be sure that you've installed all mods proved with the download link, if the issue is still not resolved take a look at your forge server.
If there is a bonfire (sword in a pile of ash) on the first island you have the good version.
I can't really find a solution what what you've described
