Just completed Stage 2 of the City Construction Challange (Link) and decided to catalog my progress. This has been done in Hard mode, so I can do districts and whatnot. I tried not to bootleg my buildings, so Stage 2 took a considerable amount of time to farm the mats. I wasn't counting, but I'd guess over 85 stone pickaxes, and 75 stone shovels have given their lives for this town.

For screenshots, most of them were taken just after Stage 2, so I could get leaves and iron doors/bars for looks. Everything was completed before, it was just without leaves, and wooden doors and fences instead of metal.

What was built:

5 houses in total (2 from stage 1, 3 from stage 2).
Town hall (2 offices, records room, treasury, and meeting hall).
Outdoor bathouse / hot spring (was under "rennovation" until I got a bucket, but was fuly built otherwise for requirement).
2 watchtowers just outside of the farming district on either side of the penninsula.
Cow pen plus shed.
Roads linking all places except watchtowers.
Cobble mine for personal use (Not a requirement and will be covered once tapped out. Obeys the "support every 10 blocks" rule).

Never in my minecraft life have I been so excited to make an iron pickax.

This seed puts you on a penninsula, with desert, mesa, swamp, and savanna being the closest biomes (Large biomes enabled).
