Greetings!

This project was originally posted on the Minecraft Forums, but was moved to Planet Minecraft due to account complications.

This map isn't like any other Super Mario World map you've seen, because this time you get to fully explore and play levels within the map, instead of just looking at a cool overworld!

All 76 levels and all 9 worlds will be available once the map is fully completed, so you can get the full SMW experience!

This map is being made by one person, me, and is being made by hand, block by block. So don't expect this to be done soon.

The map will also be made with the Custom NPCs mod, and will be mandatory to download that mod and Forge 1.8.9 to function properly.

Yes, this whole thing is only playable in 1.8.9, sorry.

As of now, Vanilla Dome is currently being worked on, with Yoshi's Island being 100% complete and Donut Plains being only 80% complete due to a secret level being in Valley of Bowser. oof.

Now, let me tell you how this map will function:

I'm not a command block god, so there won't be increased jump or stuff like that, just basic teleportation and infinite daylight cycles.

Since this isn't actual SMW, the whole map is already loaded, so no cool level cut-scenes, sorry I took that from you.

And because the map is fully loaded, I've made a new way to prevent you from skipping levels: fences.

Yes, fences.

It's a simple mechinism, you press a button, the command block will both take you to the level and then set your spawn point there as well. Since you're stuck on that level until it's completed, the fence just lowers. so when you get back, the next level will be available. There's a different way to get to the secret levels, however.

Within a certain level, there'll be a lever hidden in a chest somewhere. These levers might take some extra thinking to get to, or they might be easy to find, who knows. Once you have a lever, simply place the lever next to the iron door that blocks the way to the secret.

Last on my list, the 4 Switch Palaces.

Instead of placing alot of colorful blocks everywhere, the switches will have new purposes.

Each one will give you a new powerup, like the ability to throw fireballs for example.

So with that outta the way, let's talk Demos, 'cause I got one.

The Demo will only feature Yoshi's Island, nothing more, nothing less. So that's about 4 levels, a switch palace, and Iggy's castle.

Seems good enough.

Here's the link to that: http://www.mediafire.com/file/u71u8d7q6kfhq0q/Super_Mario_World_%2528DEMO%2529.zip/file

If there are any problems, please let me know!

And with that, I'm out!

1 Update Logs

Announcement. : by Slyster 05/15/2020 10:06:43 pmMay 15th, 2020

So, due to several events that had transpired (Not recent or anything, I probably should've done this a LONG time ago . . .), I have decided to simply redo the whole map, I've gotten better over the years anywho and keeping the now outdated design would be weird.

However I can't do it right away, I have something else to work on at the moment, so until then I guess we'll all have to wait . . .

See you then!

Oh! I honestly didn't think someone would comment on this . . .

But hey I'm glad you liked it, any issues?
