Designed to handled the explosive TnT splattering of combat, i give you the Minotaur!

I designed this Battleship Minotaur in experiment to attempt reuse the hull and resign the superstructure and guns for different types of combat. It was originally built on the Naval Battlezone server, and later used on the NavalClash!

The ship is a Ship4 sized warship, making it's wide but almost stubby design. Not always most ideal layout for a modern Battleship.

The original Minotaur, has four fully turreted Triple Barrel TNT Cannons, which uses rarely used Obsidian blocks to keep them intact. The blocks are damaged resistant, but very easily could sink you since each block can weigh 20 tons, could easily sink a ship if too much is put on it. The ship has array of AA-guns which can be used to help take down airplanes attempt to torpedo the ship or drop bombs from their bomb dispensers. As additional guns, a pair of TNT Cannons were added at mid decks.

I wasn't completely happy of the appearance of the ship, due to it's Obsidian blocks, the ship was low in the water and slowed down by the blocks It's side profile almost reminds me of a Staten Island Ferry Ship in New York City, which isn't what i was intending to make.. It should be noted all pictures posted here were taken with the old 1.8.8 texture pack for Naval Battlezone, which can be found on the PlanetMinecraft.

The Battleship Minotaur-A, was second version of the ship, which uses same exact hull as the original with new super structure. Gone is the heavy obsidian armored turrets for a streamline ship able make sure more stealthy/hard visually see.
The ship appearance improved and it was much faster than it's early variant. However, the turret count was reduces three.

The ship secondary weapons, from it's aa-guns and it's side mounted twin-barrel TNT cannons to cover the mid-ships/broadsides were retained and re-positioned.

Ultimately, both the ship's variants didn't not work out as a full on Battleship. However, using the Minotaur's near modular hull, i used it for the my successful Aircraft Carrier, the Courageous.
