What is this thing?

The Greenhouse is an overly large, automated and AFKable flower farm located close to my ICE Base - which you can be seen in the background from the front window at a high enough render distance. Well actually, it's 13 flower farms under 1 roof, but I'll get to that in a bit. Its main purpose is to... collect flowers! A lot of flowers. To make dyes out of them. Usually. Oh, it collects seeds too.

How does it work?
Before I'm going to explain how the farm itself works, I'm going to explain how flower forest biomes work. As you probably know, a lot of flowers spawn in between the trees in this biome, hence the name. Most of these flowers don't appear in most other biomes, however, they are not just limited to flower forests - all but 1 type of flower that spawns there also appear in (Sunflower) Plains, with only the Allium being truly unique to flower forests - and sunflowers to, shockingly, Sunflower Plains (but only through natural generation, they can't be spawned with bone meal). However, did you also know that these 3 biomes have a unique generation property to them, which makes Flower Forests my 2nd favorite biome after my beloved Jungles?

In most biomes, flowers spawn completely randomly, whether it be through world generation or with bone meal. However, every coordinate inside Flower Forest biomes can only ever spawn 1 specific type of flower, again whether it's through world generation means or bone meal means. The result of this is that if you were to spawn a flower on every block inside a flower forest, you'll get beautiful flower pattern like this. (Sunflower) Plains have a similar property, however, here the coordinates will only determine whether the flower is a Tulip or a non-Tulip; The color of the tulip or the type of the non-tulip is again completely random.

The result of all this is that, depending on which type of flower(s) you want to build a farm for, even if you want all of them, location matters in Flower Forests, even if you want every possible type. This partly explains the size of this farm, as I wanted every type that's unique to these 3 biomes, plus the Flower Forests-only Alliums. With the exception of Dandelions (which is actually the rarest flower in Flower Forests interestingly, I could have included in this farm as well if I extended to the left side a little, but since this one appears in every biome anyway I added 1 of these units used here to my base instead), Blue Orchids (which only spawn in Swamp biomes) and the 2 block tall flowers (which can't be spawned with bone meal, and I already had a farm for those in my base), every type of flower can be harvested in The Greenhouse.

The farms themselves, then. They can all either be turned on/off together (not recommended on lower-spec computers because they do create quite a lot of lag) or individually. A hopper clock first activates a bone meal dispenser that spawns the goodies, then another dispenser with a water bucket activates. The water breaks the stuff for us and flows them all into a hopper, from where the items go through an item elevator and land neatly into a chest for us. There's also another chest that feeds the bone meal dispenser. Each farm has its own bone meal supply, output chest and on/off switch.

The build
It's basically 2 buildings put together; a greenhouse and the entrance. The greenhouse part looks like... well... a greenhouse, and serves as a... greenhouse. The entrance part is a homage to 2 farms on one of my old worlds which I built in the same style. There are a few differences, I used blue cement here which was obviously added in 1.12, back then those pillars were blue wool. And, while they did also have big windows, they didn't have the tulip mosaics in them, obviously - in fact, stained glass wasn't even in the game back then! The wiring floor can be accessed by digging through the stairs at the entrance, doesn't matter which side. It'll reveal another stairway going down. And as with all of my builds on this world, The Greenhouse is connected to The Nexus - building that took a day on its own due to the portal's required location in the Nether being tricky.
