What is this thing?
The ICE Base is a small secondary base in my world which, as the name already sort of suggests (besides being a reference to an old project of mine, the Kingdom of ICE) houses an ice farm, as well as a snow farm. Both of those resources can't be collected at the main base because it lies in a jungle.
How does it work?
The ice farm is fully automated and works with bud switches. When a water block freezes to ice, it gets pushed up and away by 1 block each so a new ice block can grow. As soon as a row hits the end of the farm, another bud switch activates which pushes every row up by a block. This continues until the entire collection room is filled. A full room gives you about 12 stacks of ice.
The snow farm, on the other hand, doesn't use any redstone and uses a snow golem. Simply grab a shovel, aim for the snow layer on a spot that isn't blocked by the golem, hold left click and let it rain.
The build
I was trying to get the building to fit in the surroundings without changing them too much. I'm no pro builder or anything, but it kind of has a Japanese theme to it. The interior is separated in 2 wings. The left wing is the main entrance with a Nether portal that connects to the Nexus, and on the right is the snow farm and a lever that turns off the bud switch in the collection room (useful for collecting the ice without getting pushed all over the place) That collection room is what separates those 2 wings, they're connected with a balcony with the ice tray lying next to it, which is where the ice is generated.
